Warcraft has now earned more money worldwide than any other movie based on a video game. China alone with its $204M in ticket sales has brought in nearly half of the $412M generated worldwide. According to GlobalVoices.org, the movie hits a nostalgic note with what some call the “Warcraft Generation” for its singular devotion to the IP.

World of Warcraft players are expressing displeasure at a new version of the Legion alpha that has removed the ability to move the camera back from a player’s location by using a known console command “/console CameraDistanceMaxFactor 4”. The majority of player, many of them raiders, have been active in the discussion saying that it hampers a raid leader’s ability to effectively direct other players, most keenly felt by those who are melee.

World of Warcraft: It’s About to Get Real – Pre-Expansion Patch Now on PTR
With World of Warcraft, any time an impending update lands on the public test realm, it means that deployment on live servers is not far away. With that in mind, the WoW community site has been updated with the news that the pre-expansion patch, the so-called “bridging” patch to span Warlords to Legion, has arrived on the PTR. All interested players can now log in to see some of Legion’s signature systems in play including the new transmog system, the overhauled PvP system, etc.

The World of Warcraft team will be participating in weekly developer Q&A sessions via the Warcraft Twitch.tv channel. The series will be focused on answering questions about the upcoming Legion expansion. Fans and players can join up for the first session on Thursday, June 16th at 11:00 am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern.
