World of Warcraft: Re-tuning the Early Leveling Experience

Blizzard devs have posted a short note in this week’s hotfix update to World of Warcraft. In it, they explain that the 1-20 “low level” experience has been gradually being tuned over the last couple of weeks that add some modern conveniences to the earliest levels of the game and that the pace of combat has been adjusted.

World of Warcraft: First Movie Reviews – A Mixed Bag So Far

The first Warcraft movie reviews are in and are showing a mediocre reception at best. Variety subtitles it “Hollywood’s habit of turning hit video games into unwatchable movies continues unabated” while The Wrap says “swords, sorcery and stupidity abound in game adaptation”.

World of Warcraft: Movie-Inspired Transmog Items Available NOW

Any World of Warcraft player logging into the game between now and August 1st will receive the “Warcraft” movie transmog (cosmetic) items to add permanently to their collection. For Horde characters, the items are a staff and an axe; for Alliance characters, items include a sword and shield.

World of Warcraft: WoW Meets Rap Meets Wu-Tang Beats in New Album

Mega Ran, “rapper / teacher / hero”, has released a new collection of seven tracks from World of Warcraft that brings rap to Wu-Tang beats. Mega Ran partnered with Phil Harmonix to bring a unique sound to classic WoW music and the album, Wucraft, is free to stream or download from any one of a number of online locations including SoundCloud, YouTube, Bandcamp, and Audiomack.
