The first of a trio of cinematic shorts to introduce players to the next World of Warcraft expansion, Battle for Azeroth, has been released. The series is called Warbringers and the first episode showcases Jaina Proudmoore and her motivations for battle. It is, as always, a gorgeous piece of art with a potentially deep story.

Wired has an amazing interview with more than a few Blizzard developers that covers the history of World of Warcraft. “Blizzard’s Ion Hazzikostas, Patrick Magruder and Jimmy Lo tell the entire history of World of Warcraft. From the game’s launch date, until it’s newest expansion (Battle for Azeroth), Blizzard chronicles every aspect of the legendary MMO’s journey.”

World of Warcraft – Main Theme from Battle for Azeroth

The World of Warcraft team has released the main orchestral theme for Battle for Azeroth. Called “Before the Storm”, the music has been composed by Glenn Stafford, with assistance from Neal Acree, Sam Cardon, Clint Bajakian, David Arkenstone and classic WoW themes by Jason Hayes.
