Over two thousand players came out to Las Vegas to demonstrate their skill in Super Smash Bros. Melee, a game that’s kept a loyal fan base for over a decade. After a full weekend of competition, Evolution 2016’s Melee finals just officially drew to a close with Team Liquid’s Hungrybox winning out over Alliance’s Armada.

Hungrybox fought his way through the losers side of the top 8 and managed to reset the brackets in a set that went down to the last stock. The two titans went on to recreate that last-stock hype a second time before Hungrybox’s signature Jigglypuff finally put Armada’s Fox to rest.

The top 8 finishers for Super Smash Bros. Melee are as follows:

1. Liquid|Hungrybox (Jigglypuff)
2. A]|Armada (Peach, Fox)
3. PG|Plup (Sheik, Fox)
4. C9|Mang0 (Fox)
5. Tempo|S2J (Captain Falcon)
5. FOX.MVG|Mew2King (Sheik, Marth)
7. G2|Westballz (Falco)
