MysticVerbosity Analyzes Advanced Setups for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3’s M.O.D.O.K.

When playing a zoning team, it’s important to be able to convert any stray hit with ranged attacks into a favorable situation beyond the initial damage of the blast. In the case of M.O.D.O.K., there are loads of options that can follow a successful blaster shot. The following video from MysticVerbosity demonstrates these setups, most which revolve around opponents opting for a forward tech following the knockdown state.

MysticVerbosity wraps things up with a nice way to deal with those pesky Vajra assists that may be poking holes in your zoning game, which, if performed correctly, results in a dead Strider. Could M.O.D.O.K. be Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3’s new (giant) face of zoning?

Leaked Mortal Kombat X “Shaolin” Trailer Showcases Liu Kang and Newcomer Kung Jin

Here’s some great news for people eagerly awaiting the next round of confirmations for Mortal Kombat X. Early this morning, the Russian edition of MAXIM magazine posted a trailer the game’s new “Shaolin” trailer a bit earlier than expected.

The trailer in question focuses on the Shaolin characters, Kung Lao, who was revealed last January, and newly confirmed Liu Kang who, like Kung Lao, has also fallen under the control of the elder god Shinnok.

In addition to Liu and Kung however, the trailer also shows newcomer, Kung Jin who was shown in NetherRealm’s last stream. Unlike the other two Shaolin, Kung Jin wields a bow which he uses to great effect, either by lobbing arrows, or using the bow itself as a weapon.

Other things shown in the trailer include a cameo by Bo’ Rai Cho, new looks for some of the returning cast, as well as some hints as to the game’s story.

Check out the trailer below and share your thoughts in the comments.

Persona Takes On Leona Heidern in Latest King of Fighters XIII Combo Video

After releasing an inaugural video for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, King of Fighters XIII combo mastermind Persona is getting back to their roots with an impressive combo video for Leona Heidern.

As with any combo video from Persona, viewers can expect to find plenty of maximum damage strings for all sorts of situations. Due to the devastating nature of Leona’s attacks, many of the touch of death combos displayed end up securing their kill in a remarkably low number of hits. But just because the hit counter doesn’t get as high as many of the other fighters that Persona has featured doesn’t mean that these combos are any less impressive.
