Japanese Pokkén Tournament Player GINE Shows Off Pikachu Buffs from Recent Arcade Patch

GINE, a dedicated Pikachu player since the game’s release, has been kind enough to record 30+ minutes of his arcade grinding in the latest patch for Pokkén Tournament. Pikachu, the series’s iconic mascot, received a few new attack cancel options in field phase, allowing him to make it more difficult for his opponents to close in. As evidenced by the video, GINE seems eager to explore these new attack methods, peppering them into his zoning-heavy neutral. Many of his opponents are also sporting recently buffed characters–if you’re looking for lots of footage of Scizor, Gardevoir, Mewtwo and Machamp, this is a great place to look, too!
