Chris Tatarian Talks Balance Changes with Michael Martin in Conversations and Fireballs

Denial Esports’ Chris Tatarian has a lot to say about Street Fighter V’s changes in season 2. For that reason, he reached out to Michael Martin at Yahoo! Esports to talk to publicize his thoughts on Converastions and Fireballs.

In the video, he details the problem he has with Capcom having reduced damage for most characters, and then giving it to other characters. He calls it “the same problem in the other direction,” and that it “won’t make anyone happy.” He also discusses in great detail how he disliked Cammy in Season 1, citing her as impossible to whiff punish, but also states that he is happy overall with season 2.

Capcom and Bandai Namco Ranked on Metacritic’s Top 2016 Publisher List

Two major fighting game publishers and developers, Bandai Namco and Capcom, are listed on Metacritic’s list of major 2016 publisher ranking. The critic score aggregating website took a look at its 2016 data, and ranked the companies by dividing them into smaller and bigger publishers. The list is based on the number of published games last year.

Capcom landed sixth in order of best quality of published games based on Metacritic scoring. The “Best Overall Release” is Monster Hunter Generations on the 3DS, with an 85 overall score. The worst is Umbrella Corps on PC, with a meager 36. The Street Fighter V Metacritic score sits at 77 when it comes to major publications, though the user score is much lower, a 3.4. The company’s composite score is overall a 7.1, a decrease from last year by 5.9, which the site attributes to several “measly” Resident Evil remakes.

Bandai Namco Entertainment is right behind with an overall 70.8 in their franchises. Dark Souls III triumphs with an overall 89, while Lost Reavers on the Wii U scored the lowest, 46. Critics collectively graded Pokkén Tournament and several Naruto in the 80 range.
