Learn to Control the Ikari Warrior with This King of Fighters XIV Ralf Guide

Ralf Jones is one of the oldest and most dear characters in The King of Fighters series. In KOFXIV, however, the character struggles within the mid tier ranks, causing a lot of people to feel frustrated and drop him for better characters.

He is still a strong character however–it just takes a bit more work from the player to see results with him. With this Ralf guide, you are able to learn the best moves that Ralf has to offer. On top of that, with some relatively straightforward combos, Ralf can do some serious damage–coming close to killing anyone in the cast.

The Jump-in Podcast Talks with Chris Tatarian about Ken, ELEAGUE, and Kolin

Denial’s Chris Tatarian has had a lot to say in recent times about Street Fighter V. His play and his personality has led him into ELEAGUE, and he has an uphill battle to make it out of the early rounds..

Kim1234–with Logan Sama and F-Word–talked with Tatarian on The Jump-In podcast: they discuss his group in ELEAGUE, where he says he is least prepared to face Liquid|NuckleDu and Qanba Douyu|Xiaohai. They also talk about his loyalties to Ken–where he states that he often looks to see what Echo Fox|Momochi is doing, to gauge Ken’s legitimacy in various matchups–and about Kolin, hypothesizing that Capcom has gone back on its design plans of doing away with vortex characters, after seeing her setups.

Jasco Announces Street Fighter Collectible Card Game; Can Be Played Alone or with Other UFS Games

Another way for your favorite Street Fighters to battle!

Jasco Games has revealed plans to release a Street Fighter-themed collectible card game, based on their UFS–“Universal Fighting System”–model. This makes the incoming cards playable on their own, or usable to expand upon your existing UFS collection for some weird and wild face-offs. Here’s their announcement trailer:

As can be seen from the video, the game leans heavily into the Street Fighter IV series art aesthetic, with some elements from UDON Entertainment’s work showing through as well. Some further details from Jasco:

The card game will play much like the video game complete with low,
mid and high attacks, so anticipating your opponent with the correct
blocks are crucial. Attacks that deal damage are added to the
characters meter allowing for EX moves later in the match.
While the game can be played on its own, is will also be a part of the
Universal Fighting System (UFS).

UFS has been around for over a decade and is a unique game design that
allows players to fully customize the way they play. Each year the
winners of the UFS World and National Championships win the right to
create their own tournament-legal character card playable in the
game.

Each character has their own card, complete with special abilities,
vitality and most importantly hand size. Unlike other card games,
where you can only draw one card a turn, players will always draw back
up to their character’s hand size, making the game much more fast-paced.
Games on average do not go past the first 4 or 6 turns.

You can check out the UFS Facebook page to see what characters will appear in the game as Jasco reveals them. Currently, 14 out 20 have been revealed as in-game fighters: Ryu, Sagat, Zangief, Akuma, Vega, Dhalsim, M. Bison, T. Hawk, Cammy, Ken, Sakura, Fei Long, Chun-Li, and Guile.

No release date is yet confirmed; keep an eye on Jasco Games and Shoryuken for additional information.

Final Fantasy II’s Emperor Seeks Further Conquest in Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade

The Emperor of Palamecia brings cyclones of destruction to the battlefield.

The Square Enix-Team Ninja collaborative Final Fantasy arcade fighter adds yet another iconic villain to its roster with Emperor Mateus, the main antagonist of Final Fantasy II. The Emperor was announced via a special niconico live stream earlier today, and boasts intense magical attacks and defensive techniques.

Despite its launch in 2015, Dissidia Final Fantasy will eventually see a home console release with a full story mode included. One might expect that the console release will have to wait until the title receives a larger batch of fighters; with the success of Final Fantasy XV, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see a character or two from that title appear in the near future.
