Today’s Mass Effect Andromeda patch is out and ready to download. It brings a number of changes to the game, but none so noticeable as the alterations and improvements to cut scene facial animations. Reddit has been busy posting before and after images and the difference is definitely apparent.
VesperArcade discusses the (lack of) Akuma changes in Street Fighter’s V upcoming balance update
VesperArcade continues his discussions of the balance changes coming to Street Fighter V by looking at the “Master of the Fist,” Akuma. Being the first character released in Season 2, it seems Capcom didn’t want to change Akuma too much, as his only adjustments are the universal changes to Shoryukens, as well as his health being increased from 875 to 900–putting him in a 3-way tie with Cammy and Karin for lowest in the game. According to VesperArcade: “Akuma will be in slightly better condition, I should say. Especially with such an expensive V-Trigger and [the fact] he has to sacrifice health with his V-Skill as well.”
Moving on to the pair of bug fixes that went into effect with Kolin’s release, VesperArcade examines why the cancel window of Akuma’s crouching light punch was shortened by 1 frame:
As far as I know, they did this change to prevent specific option selects where Akuma could use his long chain cancel window of his cr. LP to buffer into anything he wants, while staying safe on whiff. I’m not sure if people explored or exploited this, but I’m sure Capcom wanted to nip it in the bud before people found something crazy.
Vesper’s final verdict on Akuma’s changes is “very slightly buffed.”
So the only one real balance change Akuma got was his health going up. Honestly, I don’t like this change, because I like the idea of Akuma having the lowest health in the game. I think that makes him very unique, and I feel like Capcom should’ve buffed his offense or raised his damage. I really like the idea of just making him a bigger glass cannon.

The King of Fighters XIV’s DLC character bundle is cheaper for PlayStation Plus members
For those looking to buy all of The King of Fighters XIV’s DLC characters, SNK has made it easy with a bundle for them. The bundle, which is currently available on the PlayStation Store, is available for $19.99–that is, unless you’re a PS Plus member.
For any King of Fighters XIV players who are also PS Plus members, The King of Fighters XIV: 4 Character Bundle pack is available for only $17.99, a 10% discount over its original price. With each character costing $5.99 individually, the bundle already saves $1 off of each. With the discount, players are now getting the characters for only $4.50 each.

Stream.me and Blue Mammoth Games announce The Legend Series for Brawlhalla
Having made their mark on traditional and anime fighters, Stream.me is finally branching out into the burgeoning platform fighter genre with its latest online tournament series. Partnering with Brawlhalla developer Blue Mammoth Games, Stream.me are set to host The Legend Series, the first S-Tier event for 2017’s Brawlhalla Circuit.
With a sizeable Circuit Point pot on offer alongside a $6,000 prize pot, The Legend Series will be split between singles and doubles events over two weekends. The singles tournament will take place on April 22nd and 23rd, with the doubles competitions happening on May 6th and 7th. Unlike previous Stream.me events, these Brawhalla events will be split between North America and Europe, which finally gives my European brethren a chance at competing.

Injustice 2’s deadly Society wreaks havoc in part 4 of Shattered Alliances
Injustice 2 is approaching fast, and NetherRealm Studios hasn’t been shy about hitting hard with character reveals and story trailers. They’ve released 4 Shattered Alliance trailers so far, including today’s video–which showcases the Society, led by Gorilla Grodd.

This trailer shows off all the presumed focal villains for the story. In these shots we see more of what appears to be Professor Zoom, but we also see Superman and Batman seemingly working together and dusting off the old Justice League base. We also get some nice shots of Deadshot and Scarecrow.

The Black Death – The Long Night Update Comes with Housing & Updated Features
The Black Death has been updated with The Long Night patch that touches on nearly every aspect of the game. On the nuts & bolts side, performance has been addressed with better optimization and graphics along with a move to the most current version of the Unreal Engine. In addition, housing has been added to the game along with a day/night cycle, weather effects, a new progression system for Professions, combat has been reworked, new music has been added and dedicated servers are now live.
Neverwinter – Shroud of Souls Update Headed to PC on May 2nd
Neverwinter will be getting another big update on May 2nd called the Shroud of Souls. The content expansion will bring The Cloaked Ascendancy story to a close as well as bring some new quests, the “Loadouts” feature, a new Stronghold Siege event, a Guild Hall social space (PARTAY!) and a lot more.
