Miky “Samurai” Chea discusses his training regime, Street Fighter V’s future, and more with BornFree

Ever since since he switched from Ryu to Akuma earlier this year, Winterfox’s Miky “Samurai” Chea has been on a roll in Street Fighter V competition. His high placings at CenCal Standoff 2017(4th), West Coast Warzone 6 (3rd), and NorCal Regionals 2017 (tied for 13th) are nothing to scoff at, and he looks to be continuing that trend by establishing himself as not only one of the best Akuma specialists, but as one of the best Street Fighter V players in the world. Nobody should sleep on him throughout this season, and beyond.

Learn how to defend against M. Bison’s V-Trigger cancel pressure in Street Fighter V

When facing M. Bison in Street Fighter V, one thing players have to pay attention to is his V-gauge; canceling into his V-Trigger allows the dictator to extend his pressure–while allowing for all the shenanigans that Psycho Power entails.

That said, this technique isn’t totally foolproof. For most of M. Bison’s setups with the V-Trigger Cancel, there’s a way–usually an option select–that can get players out, or at least force Bison to back off. It’s these defensive techniques that Ominous_ showcases in this tutorial video below.

Brawlhalla holding closed beta for PlayStation 4; New map and character coming to PC

Want to try and brawl in Brawlhalla on PS4? Here’s your chance.

Blue Mammoth Games has announced that a closed beta will be held for the upcoming PlayStation 4 version of Brawlhalla. Sign-ups are now open if you want to try the Smash-inspired platform fighter out before its full PS4 release. The game has been quite successful on PC through Steam early access, with more than five million players throughout 2016 and 2017.

Steam early-access Brawlhalla players will also be getting some new content soon: a new map called The Colosseum will debut in the closed beta, along with an update to the “Brawlball” mode. PC players will be receiving a free update with the new map and updated game mode alongside the launch of the closed beta; additionally, a new character, the Kitsune, will be arriving on early access next week.
