BlazBlue: Central Fiction is now available on Steam

The day is finally here for those PC warriors. Closing the console/computer gap relatively quickly for Arc System Works standards, the latest edition of ASW’s 2D fighting game saga, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, is now purchasable on Steam.

The BlazBlue: Central Fiction Steam page lists the game at $39.99 USD with a 10% discount until May 3rd. Furthermore, those who own a previous title on Steam get an additional 10% off. Central Fiction also includes a soundtrack and a digital Memorial Book. All the DLC content is included, such as the colors and add-on characters Mai and Es.

One of the developers working on the Steam version has tweeted a few hints:

One cause for concern, however, are reports in Steam reviews citing that the port isn’t very good on the technical side. Several reviewers talk about trouble with windowed mode or dual screens, lower framerates, hard to see or misaligned text, and an inability to set Confirm/Cancel buttons, among others. Since Chronophantasma Extend was considered a good port generally, hopefully some patches will smooth out the early issues with CF.

Check out Street Fighter V’s new Story and Battle costume colors via the CFN Portal site

Street Fighter V received a brand new batch of colors as a part of the major content update yesterday, adding colors numbered 11-15 for each character’s Story and Battle costumes. The costumes are unlockable using Fight Money, but with only two tiny color patches to judge from in-game, figuring out what a costume looks like can be a rough job. However, Capcom’s CFN Portal site has been updated with all of the new colors.

Shadoloo’s Sgt. Ashida provides some commentary on the fighters’ outfits, as well as the new colors. Be sure to see which new designs are your favorite before spending that precious Fight Money. Unlocking every new available color for a single character costs 94,000 FM in total, so choose wisely!

Injustice 2 intro roundup gives us our first look at pre-order character Darkseid

As Injustice 2‘s release draws ever nearer, more bits of information continue to trickle out. Yesterday, a video of 68 of the game’s character-specific intros–a feature retained from Mortal Kombat X–was released. In it, we get to see a variety of Gear-equipped alternate costumes, as well as gleaning a few more details about the game’s story and character relationships.

Most importantly though, we get our first in-game look at pre-order bonus fighter Darkseid. Though he was only a stage transition in the original game–and playable only in the mobile version–the ruler of Apokolips brings his Omega Beams full-force into the sequel. In his intro with Harley Quinn, we can see two loyal Parademons (essentially shock troops that aid Darkseid in maintaining order over the planet) accompanying him. Perhaps he will be able to summon them as his Trait, similar to the Minions of Killer Instinct’s Gargos? Harley also notes in the exchange that she “ain’t popped no one’s head off since Lobo,” perhaps referencing the recent demise of the “Main Man” in the Injustice universe?

We also have a clip of the God of Evil’s super, which involves him turning his back to his opponent, blasting them into space with an Omega Beam, before grabbing them through a portal with an enlarged hand to toss them back onto the stage for continued battle. A stylish attack certain befitting the power of the character.

You can see both videos below, with the Darkseid/Harley Quinn intro taking place at 4:43 mark.

The game’s Achievement list was also leaked today, revealing that The Joker will be the final character in the base roster.

Injustice 2 will release on May 16th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
