Become the Machampion with Pokkén Tournament DX’s Litten + Machamp combos

One of the most important things in Pokkén Tournament DX is picking the right support to assist you in battle. I’m not sure that Machamp needed more damage at his disposal but one of DX’s new supports, Litten, opens up some notable combo possibilities for one of Pokkén’s premier grapplers.

And it’s not just damage — when Machamp gets low on HP, Litten gets powered up with a multi-hitting, high damage explosion. If this connects, Machamp has enough to self-buff with his Bulk Up special move, and then still combo afterwards. This is really good for match-ups where Machamp may not have many safe opportunities to actually apply Bulk Up. Combine that with Litten’s counter piercing properties and decent charge time, and this could very well end up being a relevant support for the original wrestling Pokémon.

Riot Games is switching gears to developing projects other than League of Legends

Riot Games’ biggest IP and the esports juggernaut League of Legends seems like a never-ending money machine. And while that’s not going to go away any time soon, there’s a change coming that signals a new direction for the company. The two founders of the company, Brandon “Ryze” Beck and Marc “Tryndamere” Merrill, are leaving management to other people while they return to making games again.

While we have no information yet as to what they are working on, there are some hints around, the most relevant to the FGC being their acquisition of Radiant Entertainment last year, who were working on Rising Thunder. They’re keeping quiet on development for now, but it’s possible one of their projects could be a fighting game. Could they take advantage of League of Legends‘ massive IP?

What’s more, Arc System Works head honchos recently visited Riot Games. ASW received a tour of their facilities. While there are no signs of collaboration yet, ASW similarly took us by surprise by announcing their work with Rooster Teeth’s RWBY.

Stay tuned to SRK’s website as more news develop.
