– Hand of Fate 2 Set for Launch on November 7th

Defiant Development has announced that Hand of Fate 2 will be launching on November 7, 2017 for PlayStation 4, XBox One and PC. In addition, an XBox One X version, complete with 4K HD support, will launch the same day as Microsoft’s new console.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will allow players to collect all seven Dragon Balls in actual matches

As previously reported, Game Informer is focusing heavily on Dragon Ball FighterZ in their latest issue. The issue covers a lot of topics: such as how certain cast members were selected, why we have separate Super Saiyan Blue versions of Goku and Vegeta (there were too many references for them to add in a single character), why Android 21 (they wanted a new female villain that could stand up to the rest of the cast), and who’s working on the game (Junya Motomura and Seiji Fukumoto, who worked on the Persona 4 Arena games).

However, the big news from the articles is the reveal of a brand new mechanic. Dragon Ball FighterZ will allow players to actually collect all seven Dragon Balls in a single match. By completing certain actions, players will be granted Dragon Balls during the match. As for what collecting all seven does, this hasn’t been revealed as of yet. However, producer Tomoko Hiroki did say that the Dragon Balls “represent a system that isn’t found in any other fighting game, and is a brand new feature in the Dragon Ball series.”

Now, while neither Bandai Namco nor Arc System Works have given any more specific details about the Dragon Balls, Game Informer accidentally published gameplay footage showing the mechanic early on their site, and a reddit poster named Huffee has been able to analyze these to figure out how to collect them. Basically, Dragon Balls are rewarded every ten hits of a combo, with the 1 star ball at 10 hits, the 2 star ball at 20 hits, and so on and so forth.

Now while Game Informer has taken the footage down, FadedRevolution has shared copies of these onto their YouTube. You can check these out below.

For a more specific breakdown, a short animated GIF has been uploaded showing the specific moments from the above videos where Dragon Balls are earned.

We’re bound to learn more about Dragon Ball collection mechanic in the coming months, so stay locked on to Shoryuken for more on this and other news on Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Wizard101 – Something Rotten This Way Comes

KingsIsle wasted no time getting into the spooky spirit. Jack Hallow and his friends are back in the spiral, the water is crawling with creepy catches, and Spooky Bob has returned with his Halloween items (including a new Obsidian Mimic pet!). One of my personal favorite things to do in Wizard101 during October is complete what I call “The Evil Veggie Quest.” Well, the actual name is “Something Rotten in Nightside,” … but I’m close enough!
