TEKKEN TRAINING: Electric Wind God Vids – Throw Break Exercises

The Tekken Training series Electric Wind God Vids continues! Today we’re talking about how to break throws in Tekken, and exercises you can apply to improve your throw break rate.

The principle for studying these is similar to what we did with our practice for blocking slow lows. If you have a few minutes a day to perform just one of the exercises in this video, you can improve your throw break success rate exponentially over time. It just takes a little bit of practice and is a great way to warm up before playing!

I am power made plastic! Akuma joins the S.H.Figuarts collection

For those looking to add a miniature Akuma to their figurine collection, Bandai Tamashii Nations has just got just the thing for you. Launching alongside a Ryu figurine in February of 2018, the custodian of the Satsui no Hado will be available for $54.99.

Unlike the Storm Collectibles Akuma figure, this S.H.Figuarts Akuma is based off his classic SFII design, rather than his divisive Street Fighter V look. He comes complete with two facial expressions, two pairs of hands, a Gohadoken and a backdrop showing the Temple of Ascension stage from Street Fighter V.

You can pre-order this Akuma figure now via the Bandai Tamashii Nations website and check out the gallery below for some action shots of the plastic Master of the Fist.

Infiltration shows his training mode strategies for Street Fighter V

For many, the training mode of a fighting game is the core game. Fun is derived through the sandbox of training, allowing creative players to explore their options and invent solutions to common situations. This is certainly true for pro Street Fighter player Infiltration, as you can see in the latest Core-A Gaming video.

Infiltration’s tutorial to Training Mode is both a walk-through of Street Fighter V‘s various training features, and insight into the nuanced work a top player puts in to refining their game. If you think you have what it takes to go to the top, this is just a small example of what you’ll have to do.
