Body Count Fighting presents BCF5 — new Title & Feature matches in Dragon Ball FighterZ, Street Fighter V, & Tekken 7 — on April 7th

The body count rises — the fight card is set for Body Count Fighting 5!

The next set of Title and Feature matches at Machinima Studios in Burbank, California has been announced: Body Count Fighting 5 will take place at 5:00 p.m. PT on April 7, 2018! With fights planned in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition and Tekken 7, BCF5 will also feature the first BCF Title match for Dragon Ball FighterZ!

Doors open at 4:00 p.m. on April 7th; tickets are available on the Body Count Fighting 5 Eventbrite page — for free! There will be free food, casual gaming stations, and a free vintage arcade for attendees. The event will be streamed live on Body Count Fighting’s YouTube and Twitch channels, starting at 5:00 p.m. It will also stream on SRK’s own SRKLive Twitch channel.

The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection has been delayed in Japan

As you may know, the much-anticipated Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will launch this May 29th. However, it seems that will no longer be the case in Japan.

Producer Tomoaki Ayano recently made an announcement over at the game’s official Japanese site regarding the delay. The release date has been moved from “Spring 2018” to a more nebulous “to-be-determined”.

According to the announcement, the reason for the delay is because they have received a lot of feedback from the fans, since the collection was first announced back in December of last year. As such, they have decided to move the release date in Japan to be able to address this.

As for what exactly the feedback was related to, they didn’t specifically say. That said, the original announcement for the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection indicated that it would have English titles, voicing, and text (likely including the names of the Street Fighter II bosses). As such, this could be the main thing being addressed in the delay — especially since no such delay has been announced for the West.

BornFree interviews Nakkiel — one of the top Dragon Ball FighterZ players — at Final Round 2018

BornFree continues to release his video interviews from Final Round 2018; this one captures a conversation with Nakkiel, shortly after he finished his initial Dragon Ball FighterZ pool at the events. Nakkiel — who hails from Seattle, Washington — plays multiple anime titles, but he has particularly became known for his play in Bandai Namco’s and Arc System Works’ latest fighter.

The conversation begins with the origin of Nakkiel’s tag, which comes from a song he used to listen to. He discovered Guilty Gear and then the forum site, Dustloop, and started to meet up with the fighting game community. They switch onto Dragon Ball FighterZ talk, which covers a number of topics; Nakkiel first encountered the game at Evolution 2017 but didn’t play it, and then got asked to present the game at PAX West in Seattle. He likes the neutral in the game, which he feels is a good synthesis of Marvel-style and air-dashers. He didn’t like the Vanish mechanic initially, but he has learned more about it since, and is planning on releasing some content about it.

The interview is much longer than usual ones, but it covers a lot of ground — including helpful advice and opinions about the upcoming DBFZ characters, Broly and Bardock. The latter parts dip into BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, and other video games Nakkiel likes to play.
