A brief post has been written to inform the ArcheAge community that the Relics of Hiram update is going to be delayed. Originally scheduled for release today, the note indicates that the team is working towards a new indeterminate date to ensure server stability. The delay for stability has also come at the hands of Monday’s revelation that Trion Worlds was sold to Gamigo. It remains unclear if Gamigo will continue publishing AA or if it will revert to developer XLGames.
Fortnite – Haphazard & Hurriedly Beautiful
Another two weeks pass. Another column is due. What should I write about? The crowd-funded news well isn’t exactly flowing. The big game release schedule, just in time for Christmas, is looking thick, solid and tight but I don’t see any MMORPG’s in the mix. I guess that means I have to dip a toe outside the narrow lines that define our niche and talk about the only multiplayer game to retain my attention this long since Darkfall launched. I’m talking about Fortnite, again.

The Saints Are Gonna Come Marching In as You Collect Them in Follow JC Go
Italian site Corriere.it (via Eurogamer) is reporting that the Vatican has given its literal blessing to a new Pokemon Go-inspired game called Follow JC Go. The game, like Pokemon Go, uses augmented reality to send players off on a hunt for “saints, blessed and other biblical characters”. Rather than catch them via a fight, players will be challenged with answering questions. Successful interaction will see the character join a player’s team.
In News You Didn’t Expect Today – Hellgate: London Is Returning to Steam
If you woke up today thinking that it’s “just another Wednesday”, have we got news for you! It appears that Hellgate: London, originally developed at Bill Roper’s Flagship Studios, is coming back to Steam. After Hanbitsoft bought the rights to Hellgate: London in 2010, it went largely silent after it failed as a F2P title (2011) before turning up again in 2014, this time on Steam Greenlight. Perhaps the 2018 version will prove that the third time is the charm?
