Epic Games has posted a new blog on the Fortnite site to let fans know that the free-to-play launch of the Save the World portion of the game will not be happening in 2018. The original plan for Save the World was to launch as a F2P title this year, but it seems it will be early next year at the earliest. The delay is in order to to provide more time for the team to “get this right” and to improve a number of systems and features.
It’s a common misconception that the best games are built by developers. Sure, great games need incredible talent, but the truly exceptional titles, the ones that stand the test of time, are born of their community. While Activision finishes squeezing the last vestiges of loyalty from those willing to suffer Destiny 2, a seemingly plucky British upstart continues to cultivate an unusual level of loyalty from its players. I am, of course, talking about Runescape.

The Farm 51 has only stated that there are “connectivity issues” but that it is working to squash bugs and get things stabilized for the majority of players.

Also introduced is a group of Appalachian doomsday “preppers”, they are called the Free States and the Responders, a group made up of fire, police & medical personnel.
With the end of the 2018 Capcom Pro Tour in sight, we know that another season — full of patches, nerfs, and buffs — is on the horizon. With a set of generally agreed upon top 5 characters, Ibuki always ends up in that list, as she has been for the last two seasons. The question now is how to properly balance her while keeping her playable competitively.
VesperArcade offers up their answers in their most recent wish list. With changes to her throw and overhead being near the top of the list, they also suggest some sort of buff to her first V-Trigger to make both V-Triggers equally viable.

In addition to fantastic Tekken 7 matches, those that tuned in to Mastercup were met with a surprise announcement: NorCal’s Strong Style tournament series was set to return next year, with a focus on a 3v3 teams format.

Unlike many other majors, Strong Style is not a yearly running event. That’s because this tournament holds its allegiance to one series only, and that’s Tekken. Its presence appears only when needed, and with Tekken 7 squared center in the spotlight of the FGC, it’s needed now more than ever: the reception (and 200+ players that showed up) for Strong Style 6 proved that much.
