What you need to know about Azwel’s nerfs in SoulCalibur VI

Perhaps no character in SoulCalibur VI was nerfed more than Azwel in the latest patch. Namco made an honest effort to bring him more in line with the rest of the cast, and it’s easy to see that in decisions like the much requested backdash nerf. But just because the list of changes is long doesn’t mean all the nerfs are that severe, or that they are even all nerfs:

If we take a fine-toothed comb through his changes — as Scallywag 93 does in the latest video above — we can see that Azwel is still an incredible threat whose core gameplay is still in tact. He just has to play a little more honestly, and I’m sure Azwel will agree that that’s good for the glory of all mankind.

ATLAS Extended Length Gameplay Trailer to Help Ease the 2-Day Delay

Atlas devs have sent out an extended gameplay trailer in what appears to be an effort to mitigate the 2-day delay for the start of Steam Early Access. The announcement of the delay and the gameplay trailer came out about 30-minutes after the game was to have launched and the community is none too happy. The video is being down-voted with vigor.

Final GEICO Championships to be held Dec 22nd, 2018, features top players in Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition battling for $15k prize pool

Eight months of GEICO-sponsored online tournaments — both for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition and Tekken 7 — have built up to this one moment: the Final GEICO Championships. The top 16 qualifiers will travel to San Francisco, CA to battle for a prize poolof $15k, and you can see the event, in person, for free:

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s DLC Extra Pack 4 available today

The evolution of Xenoverse knows no end!

With the hype for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Broly film reaching its peak, Bandai Namco Entertainment released a new trailer for the upcoming DLC Extra Pack 4 for the still ever-expanding Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. After declaring that, “the evolution of Xenoverse knows no end,” we are treated to some gameplay snippets of the two new characters being added to the roster, SSGSS Gogeta and Broly (Super Saiyan Full Power), as well as some footage of the 5 additional Parallel Quests, and new costumes and accessories in the form of SSGSS Gogeta and Broly’s Clothes. The Tournament of Power Arena from Dragon Ball Super’s Universe Survival Arc will also be added as a new stage. Eight new Skills and 15 additional Super Souls will also be included in this update.

Future free updates to the title will bring us the new Crystal Raid mode — where we assume control of a powerful boss exclusive to the mode, such as Half-Corrupted Fused Zamasu, Demon God Demigra, or Mira’s Final Form — in 5v1 online battles. Even more special costumes, such as Santa outfits and Goku and Vegeta’s winter coats from the new film are also on the way, along with Photo Mode, which will allow players to take pictures using various characters and avatars. Extra Pack 4 will be released tomorrow, Wednesday, December 19th, so get ready to attain even greater power soon. You can see the full trailer below. If you’re looking for even more Xenoverse 2 content, Anime Music Pack 2 was just released, containing several iconic tunes.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam PC, and Nintendo Switch.

VesperArcade talks about the lack of content revealed at the beginning of Street Fighter V’s Season 4

While the Season 4 patch — including new character Kage — was released the night of Capcom Cup, many were underwhelmed with the amount of content available on the patch’s arrival. VesperArcade was one of them, citing the single character reveal and the sparse amount of changes per character at the beginning of the season.

However, in this video VesperArcade speculates on what content could be coming down the pipeline for Season 4, and when he thinks we may expect it. He also theorizes that Kage is not in a season pass, and there will be six more characters coming in a Season 4 pass to be revealed at a later date.

desk tries his hand at Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s Kage, shows off loops, V-reversal combos, and more!

Evil Ry- er, Kage just dropped in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition this week, which means it’s time for combo creator extraordinaire desk to break another character.

Whether be from meter or just pure frame advantage, Kage has some of the most absurd loops in the game on nearly all of his specials. Heaven weeps for tall characters like Abigail and G, as they seem to get pegged by tiger-kneed air fireballs for full conversion. The sickest thing of all, however, might be the V-reversal conversion desk found in the videos above.
