Soon, you can bless your Nintendo Switch with the most beautifully blasphemous fighting game in existence — according to the Malaysian government, at least — Fight of Gods.

The plucky little Unity fighter received sudden bolster in sales when they announced Jesus as a playable character last year, prompting both political backlash and enough fanatical purchases to get them where they are today — releasing their tongue-in-cheek indie project onto the Nintedo Switch worldwide.

Well… eventually it’ll be worldwide, at least — the game releases into the Asian market on Dec. 12th, but an exact release date for the U.S. is still in the works.

Fight of Gods will retail for 1,500 ¥ in Japan, or about $14 USD.

With the community counting down to Capcom Cup 2018, Capcom has a special treat for any players looking to get started on Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. The game will have a special free trial period from December 11 to 18 on both PlayStation 4 and Steam.

This free trial period starts on December 11 at 1:00 PM PT (though downloads will be available at 9:00 AM PT) and will end on December 19 at 9:59 AM PT. For PlayStation 4 users, PlayStation Plus is not required to download the game. It will however, still be required for online play. For PC, all players need is a Steam account.

Players who join in on the trial will be able to use the original 16 characters from when Street Fighter V initially released, as well as DLC characters Guile, Akuma, and Sagat. The latter three will only be available in online play, Training, and Challenges. In addition to this, the following modes will also be available.

• Arcade
• Versus
• Online (Ranked, Casual, and Battle Lounge)
• Challenges
• Training

December 11 will also bring Sponsored Content to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. These are various ads related to the Capcom Pro Tour: specifically, they will come in the form of “Ad Style” costumes for each character, “Loading Ads” that’ll appear in the versus screen before each match, and “Stage Ads” which will have certain stages, such as the Ring of Power, feature a sponsor.

Sponsored Content however can be turned off. There will be a new “Sponsored Content Settings” sub-menu in the game’s options that allow players to turn these on or off. For those who keep them on, however, playing with Sponsored Content will allow them to earn additional Fight Money in-game.

The 2nd quarter release date was apparently not the only thing revealed for Samurai Shodown at SNK’s IPO press conference. As part of the event, a build of the game was shown to select journalists by SNK. During the presentation, it seems that Charlotte Christine de Colde was one of the characters shown, or at least confirmed by SNK. The French fencer was not shown in-game in Samurai Shodown‘s announce trailer. However, she did appear as part of a key visual included in said trailer.

In addition to this, during the presentation, SNK stated that they were aiming for an 18+ rating (ESRB M rating, or CERO 18+) for the game due to effects like the blood splattering and dismemberment.

Sadly, SNK did not allow any footage to be taken of the presentation, so we’ll have to wait until we actually get to see Charlotte in action. Samurai Shodown is set to arrive sometime in 2019.
