Emergency 1-hour Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition server maintenance to take place today for costume display bug

Nash’s Genbu attire lurks in the shadows of the Shop!

Yesterday marked a monumental day for fans and players of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, as the long-awaited and much-requested input delay reduction patch was finally released, along with some other bugs squashed and stealth balance changes implemented. However, their appears to have been an unforeseen bug introduced into the game with the update, impacting the in-game Shop’s 3D Model Viewer for costumes.

Though Nash’s Cannon Spike costume has now skated its way into Menat’s Fighting Chance, the undead soldier appears to be experiencing some unintended wardrobe woes as well. Interestingly, if you go to view Nash’s previously-released Halloween outfit with the Shop’s new 3D Model Viewer, a feature added in AE that allows players to see what an attire will look like in-game, you will instead get an unintentional look at Nash’s “Genbu” costume, an outfit that is exclusively available to FUDOH|Fujimura to celebrate his victory in the RAGE Master League Genbu Cup, back on May 28th, 2016.

Similar attires have been awarded to Echo Fox Tokido’s Akuma, for winning the Byakko Cup back in August, and to SZY|Mizuha’s Chun-Li, as the Champion of RAGE’S Suzaku Cup, in October 2016. There is speculated to be one more of these player-exclusive outfits, to be awarded to the winner of the upcoming Seiryu Cup, likely to be held in 2019.

As this outfit is not intended to be purchasable by other players, Capcom will be preforming an hour of emergency server maintenance tonight, from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. PT (7:00-8:00 P.M. CT, 8:00-9:00 P.M. ET,) to correct the issue. You can see the official Tweet from the SFV Server Status Twitter account, below. In the meantime, you can enjoy a brief look at this special outfit, which only sports two Colors to choose from.

Nash’s Cannon Spike Costume now available in Fighting Chance following Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s latest update

Earlier this week, we learned that the mechanization of the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition cast would continue, as Mech F.A.N.G and Mech Juri will be the next pair of Crossover Costumes coming to Extra Battle mode, following the conclusion of Mech Zangief’s fourth and final piece this week.

Interestingly enough, the existence of these robotic outfits was revealed by Brazilian data miner X-Kira in a report of his most recent findings. It appears another of his recent discoveries has now also come to pass, as we now know that Nash’s Gunspike Costume, which sees the solider don his attire from the 2000 multi-directional Arcade Shooter Cannon Spike. This will be the second attire from Cannon Spike added to SFV, as Cammy’s attire from the game was the first Costume made available within “Menat’s Fighting Chance.”

For the unaware, Menat’s Fighting Chance allows players to spend various amounts of Fight Money that will reward players with a random assortment of various items that range from Battle Goods to be used in Survival Mode, special EX Colors for each character’s Default and Story Costumes, Classic artwork from all titles in the Street Fighter series, cosmetic items to personally customize your Dojo,  and of course, exclusive Costumes. Nash’s outfit can be obtained via the “Soldier of Misfortune” campaign, which went live with the return of the servers last night, following the input delay reduction patch.

In addition, staring next week, Extra Battles will be available against Gunspike Nash, for the opportunity to obtain Fortune Tickets. As before, these battles carry a measly 250 Fight Money entry fee per challenge attempt, and will award your chosen character with 250 EXP for each additional victory against him. Fortune Tickets can also be obtained with various high scores in Survival Mode. You can see the announcement Tweet from Capcom below.

Will you be looking to add this outfit to your Nash’s wardrobe? Let us know in the Comments.

2018 Tekken World Tour Online Event results for Asia, Europe, and New Zealand

After completing five tournaments for North America, Latin America, and Australia, the online phase of the 2018 Tekken World Tour moved into its second and final week, with a quintet of events for East Asia (which boasted 22 players), Southeast Asia (which drew 39 entrants), Europe West (with a staggering 218 fighters), Europe East (with 58 attendees), and New Zealand (which attracted 28 warriors). As with before, these events awarded the same amount of points as an offline Challenger Event for the top 16, so a top performance was crucial to rise up the leaderboards as the December Finals draw near. There was unfortunately no official stream for these battles, though some particular wars may be preserved in the Twitch archives of select players, as steaming your own matches personally was encouraged.

Complete your collection of Devil May Cry and Ghosts N’ Goblins Crossover Costumes in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

You’ve got another shot to go demon hunting!

Big news for anyone still looking to acquire the Devil May Cry and Ghosts N’ Goblins Crossover Costumes in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. While the third piece of Mech Zangief’s robotic attire is still currently up for grabs, with the final Gem available next week, Capcom has announced that once his Challenges are finished, the next wave of Extra Battles will see the return of previously-available Costumes for players who may have missed them.

Much like they did with Ken, R. Mika, and Ibuki’s Monster Hunter Armors, Capcom will be allowing players a second chance to add Dante Ken, Nero Ed, Gloria Laura, Sir Arthur Ryu, and Astaroth M. Bison, to their respective fighter’s wardrobes. Not only are they are allowing players to gain any of the four Gems they may have originally missed, they are also being sold–presumably along with the Level 1 Theme from Super Ghouls N’ Ghosts Crossover BGM– in a bundle that will be available on both PSN and Steam this Friday, October 19th. Though no price point was divulged, the Monster Hunter Crossover Costume Bundle will set you back $9.99, so that could be a good indication of its cost. You can see the announcement Tweet from Capcom below.

Are you excited to get a second chance at some of these Extra Battle Costumes, or will you be saving your Fight Money and grabbing the Bundle? Let us know your plans in the Comments below.

2018 Tekken World Tour Online Week One Events Results

Late last month, the 2018 Tekken World Tour brought the King of Iron Fist Tournament to the battleground of cyberspace, as several online events were held in each region over a two week period. As we continuously approach the 2018 TWT Finals in Amsterdam this December, the stakes were high — these events carried the same weight as offline Challenger events.

First up, we’ll take a look at the results for the first four tournaments held during the first week of competition: North America West, which boasted 125 entrants, North America East, which had 218 players, Latin America North, which drew 29 fighters, LATAM South, with 45 entrants, and Australia, which had 18 attendees. Unfortunately, there were no official streams for these events, but players were encouraged to broadcast their battles via their individual Twitch channels, so archives of select bouts may be floating around depending on the players.
