Check out Sabrewulf’s Ultimate in Killer Instinct Season 3

With another week passing by, the countdown to the release of the free Ultimates Monster Pack for Killer Instinct on August 22nd continues. As usual, the Killer Instinct YouTube channel has uploaded another of the Ultimates set to be released to all players later this month. After taking a look at Aganos’s and Mira’s the last two weeks, the spotlight now falls upon Sabrewulf.

Seemingly losing control and giving into his feral impulses, Sabrewulf pounces on his opponent, assaulting them with a series of slashes — similar to Wolverine’s Berserker Barrage X in the Marvel vs. Capcom series — slaughtering his foe before savagely glaring at the screen, as his victim’s lifeless body lies behind him. You can see the Ultimate for yourself below.

Be on the lookout over the next two weeks for the Ultimates for Hisako and Glacius. What are your thoughts on this Ultimate? Do you think it’s fitting for Sabrewulf? Let us know in the comments.

Killer Instinct is currently available for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, with details on a future Steam release forthcoming.

Viennality 2017 results

This past weekend, some of the world’s finest Injustice 2 players journeyed to Vienna, Austria for the latest stop in the 2017 Injustice 2 Pro Series, as Viennality returned for the second year in a row. A European Premiere Event, with a $20,000 pot on the line attracted 63 of the best DC warriors from Europe and America, along with other regions, as players looked to solidify their place in the Pro Series Finals on September 17th. This was also the first IPS event since the August 2017 balance patch, which could certainly shake up the rankings and character variety a bit. However, this wasn’t the only title being played, as the event also played host to tournaments for Mortal Kombat XL, Tekken 7 and Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, which each received a €500 pot bonus.

Ghost Rider revealed for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite; Gameplay to be shown at Gamescom

Break out your chains and rev up your bikes with a dose of hellfire, as Ghost Rider has just been confirmed to be joining the cast of Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. We’ve previously been reporting about the series of special MVC:I variant covers coming to various issues of Marvel’s August 2017 comic lineup, featuring several Marvel and Capcom characters duking it out. Earlier today, the Marvel vs. Capcom Facebook page officially revealed the final cover in the series, a variant for The Defenders #4, featuring Morrigan facing off with the yet-to-be-revealed Ghost Rider. The page also notes that the “Spirit Of Vengeance” will have his gameplay revealed at Gamecom 2017 in Cologne, Germany, on August 22nd, alongside fellow returnees Dormammu and Firebrand. We’re also likely to see a proper reveal for Jedah Dohma, the Soul Infinity Stone, and perhaps a Demon Village/Dark Dimension-hybrid stage as well.

You can check out the variant cover below, as well as the Thanos cover, which sees the Mad Titan battling the “Distressed Lord of Death,” and the Black Panther cover, which features T’Challa going one-on-one with Ryu.

Tekken World Tour Korean Masters Event results

This past weekend, the 2017 Tekken World Tour made its latest stop in the hot-bed of the King Of Iron Fist, the capital city of Seoul, South Korea, as 223 competitors battled for Tekken 7 supremacy during this one-day event. It’s undeniable that Korea has the strongest playerbase for Namco’s premiere 3D fighter, but several warriors from Japan, as well as other regions of Asia, made the trip out to try and claim the lion’s share of points on the regional leaderboard, as this was a Master Event.

“Bizarro am worst hero!” See all of Bizarro’s intro dialogues with the entire Injustice 2 cast

Earlier this week, Injustice 2‘s August Update brought a myriad of bug fixes and balance changes to the game, as well as preparing the game for the upcoming release of Starfire and introducing new Tournament Shaders.. However, perhaps the biggest non-gameplay-related change was the addition of a new Premier Skin for Superman, which transforms the Man Of Steel into his backwards-speaking dim-witted clone created by Lex Luthor, Bizarro.

Known for speaking in opposites, his intentions and demeanor can often-times come off as confusing to his enemies. History Behind The Warrior has made a pair of videos compiling all of El-Kal’s (voiced by Patrick Seitz) character-specific intros with the entire cast, including himself and all other Premier Skins released so far, which you can see below.

TheHackingFreak also brings us a compilation of Bizarro’s Clash quotes with the entire cast, of which he has over 60.

Injustice 2 Watchtower livestream featuring Starfire breakdown set for August 7th

Though the Injustice 2 community is still reeling from the balance changes made in the game’s August Update, NetherRealm Studios is keeping the ball rolling by announcing that the next Injustice 2 Watchtower Livestream will be taking place on Monday, August 7th, at 3 PM CST (1 PM PST). This time, the crew will be providing a breakdown of Injustice 2‘s upcoming third DLC character, Starfire, who will be rounding out Fighter Pack 1, following the releases of Red Hood and Sub-Zero.

If the past is any indication, expect community specialist Tyler Lansdown, designer Derek Kirtzic, Steve “16-Bit” Brownback, and possibly even Paulo Garcia to show off every last detail of the Tamaranean princess. As always, you can submit questions for the team on Twitter using the hashtag #AskTheWatchtower. You can see the announcement by the Injustice 2 Twitter account below.

See eight of Injustice 2’s voice actors compete in a special tournament at Body Count Fighting

Recently, the Body Count Fighting team invited eight voice actors of the Injustice 2 cast to battle it out in an 8-person tournament at their studios in Burbank, California. The participants included:

  • Phil LaMarr (Aquaman, John Stewart Green Lantern)
  • Taliesin Jaffe (The Flash)
  • Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman)
  • Joey Naber (Black Adam)
  • Matthew Mercer (Deadshot)
  • Ogie Banks (Firestorm)
  • Charles Halford (Gorilla Grodd)
  • Michael-Leon Wooley (Darkseid)

Though this is certainly not anywhere the most technical or highest-level of competitive play you’ll ever see, it’s undeniably entertaining and it’s great to see the people behind the voices of some of our favorite characters having a great time and enjoying these games as much as we do.

You can catch all of the tournament matches below.

Android 17 may be coming to DragonBall FighterZ, according to comments from their English voice actor

While Bandai Namco and Arc System Works recently unveiled Future Trunks at Evo and also announced Piccolo and Krillin in a recent edition of Weekly Shonen Jump, it appears we now know the identity of another Z Warrior joining the cast of Dragon Ball FighterZ, due to a leak from their English voice actor.

Chuck Huber, known for being the English voice of Android 17, was asked during a recent convention appearance at Florida Supercon if he’d recorded his lines for the android’s grand return to the series in Dragon Ball Super‘s currently-ongoing “Universe Survival Arc.” According to Enrique Bermudez on Twitter, Huber provided a quite the interesting response, saying:

“I haven’t done Dragon Ball Super, but I have done my lines for FighterZ.” After being informed that 17 isn’t among the currently announced cast members, he responded with a simple, “Whoops,” and noted that he didn’t have to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) so he’s probably fine.

We know that we’ll be seeing an “enhanced” version of the title later this month at Gamescom in Germany, which should contain Future Trunks, Piccolo, Krillin and now potentially Android 17 as the rumored 10th character. If these Tweets are true, it also confirms that the game will be receiving an English dub by Funimation — which isn’t surprising given that it is a Dragon Ball game — but is nonetheless reassuring after Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- and BlazBlue Central Fiction didn’t receive an English dub. Fingers crossed that Androids 16 and 18 will be joining 17 on the battlefield. You can view all of Bermudez’s Tweets below.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently scheduled for an early 2018 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam.
