Here are Some Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Combos to Keep the Marvel Hype Train Going

It seems that the re-release of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and the announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite has reignited everyone’s love affair with all things Marvel. Today, we have not only one but two combo videos–from two different sources–for your enjoyment.

First, we have a video that is literally from Russia, with hype. This video features combos specifically from a team of Magneto, Wolverine, and Shuma Gorath. This is a pretty unique team, so seeing what has been done with it is pretty amazing!

Next we have a video featuring Dormammu. This is a character we don’t see prominently displayed in many combo videos, as his keepaway game has been notably stronger than his ability to go in. But this Dormammu is not interested in bargains.

The King of Fighters Characters to Be Featured in Mobile Game “Crusader’s Quest”

Developer Hangame has announced a special crossover treat for fighting game player and mobile game players alike. Characters from The King of Fighters series will be featured in their free-to-play mobile game Crusader’s Quest.

Characters shown in the trailer include Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, Billy Kane, Leona Heidern, Sie Kensou, and Chizuru Kagura: in complete “chibi” form to match the side-scrolling game’s style. The game is available on both the iTunes Store and Google Play Store–for iOS and Android respectively.

Tekken 7 Adds New Costumes and Accessories to Its Lineup

One of the best things about Tekken–you know, other than its stellar and deep gameplay–is the ability to customize your main in a multitude of ways. It has been like this for a long time in the Tekken universe, and it looks like Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is no exception.

Revealed recently are multiple different options to accessorize your characters. First up, we have what is called the “Kiwami”–or “Ultimate”–collection. These are two piece costumes that which each piece can be selected individually.

As Tekken 7: Fated Retribution rolls closer to console release, we can assume that all these costumes will also be readily available in the console version for us to customize to our hearts’ delight.

Ibuki Is on the Scene with These Ambiguous Setups in Street Fighter V

Ibuki has long been a character known for her ambigious setups, and most notorious for her vortex potential in the Street Fighter IV series. In Street Fighter V, it seems like old habits die hard, as Ibuki still has insanely ambiguous setups–and potent damage potential off of them.

Here are a couple of videos that better flesh out how lethal she can be off her setups. In this first video, watch the usage of her forward roundhouse in order to create these dirty left/right mixups that are difficult to react to on the fly. These setups can be used in a variety of situations.

In this second video–which is actually the first in this series, but does better here as the last one–we find a corner only setup. This one also requires the use of at least 4 kunai, which makes management of this resource of the essence for Ibuki mains.

Yahoo Esports Takes on Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s Story with Marvel Games Producers

One of the most notable aspects of development in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is the presence of the Marvel Games team in the process. Whereas previous installments of the series have been produced primarily by Capcom with Marvel holding the rights to decide which of their characters make the cut, it seems that this time they are sticking their hands deeper into the development mud that ever before.

Michael Martin from Yahoo Esports talked to executive producer Mike Jones and creative director Bill Rosemann of Marvel Games about the new title, and their role in the game’s production. The Marvel team seems to be mainly in charge of story, with Jones quoted as saying, “What we’ve never been able to do is tell the story about why these worlds are coming together,” and Rosemann further elaborating, “There’s a reason for everything. You’ll notice in the backgrounds it looks like the worlds are merged. The question is who did this? These are questions and mysteries that will be answered as you play the game.”

Red Bull eSports Talks to Mike “ElvenShadow” Boczar about Frosty Faustings and His Love of Guilty Gear

One of the most unique tournament organizers of the last decade has always been Mike “ElvenShadow” Boczar. Having spent the greater part of his career organizing events living in Japan, he always came back home to his native Chicago to run Frosty Faustings over the course of his winter break from work.

Now relocated back to Chicago with wife and child in tow, Boczar hasn’t slowed down on two things: his passion for running Frosty Faustings and his love of the Guilty Gear series, the latter of which plays a big part in the aforementioned event–name notwithstanding! This is the point of Boczar’s life where our very own Luke “Woocash” Siuty caught up with him on behalf of Red Bull eSports to discuss the event, and his time playing in Japan. He also talks about the time where he was beating top players such as Abegen and Kishitaka with players commenting behind him that “foreigners don’t play Guilty Gear.”

Watch PR Balrog’s Progress with His Classic Main in These Diamond Ranked Matches

PR Balrog of Evil Geniuses has been a perennial favorite on the circuit. Having made multiple top 8s at Evolution in Street Fighter IV, he was expected to do well this season as well. He didn’t do as well as projected, and as such, missed out on Capcom Cup–as well as the Evolution top 8.

He is has remained undeterred, and is continuing his progress with his Balrog play. How well is he doing? Well, these ranked matches against fellow diamond ranked players, including one with top Dhalsim Arturo Sanchez, are a farily good indicator of his current abilities with the game.

Even the Big Guys Have Team Aerial Combo Infinites in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

While we have seen tons of TAC Infinites with smaller, more mobile characters in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, it appears that that’s not all she wrote in finding infinites within the game’s system. Wolverine-Master has once again been tooling around in the lab, and found yet another infinite: this time one for one of the biggest bodies in the game, Hulk.

While it takes less reps to drop a character with one of UMvC3’s big bodies, this gives Hulk another guaranteed kill setup, should you land a TAC with the big green monster waiting in the wings. With Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 having some new life breathed into it via the PlayStation 4 release, it now becomes a question whether this new tech can become useful this late into the game’s lifespan.
