It’s been well-known for decades that you don’t want to mess with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, lest you end up shell shocked! The cast of Injustice 2 now has to learn this the hard way, with the quartet having made their way into the game via DLC.

With the popularity of the characters, you knew that combo videos exploring their capabilities were inevitable. This one focuses on Raphael, the bad boy of the group. And his combo capabilities prove that. With ambiguous cross-up setups, great interactable usage, and amazing midscreen combo abilities, you’ll see more than enough turtle power in this video.

Everyone was taken aback when Capcom announced at NorCal Regionals that a new patch was being released for Street Fighter V this week. Thankfully, we already have the balance changes listed, and now know what we can expect to find when we download this patch.

VesperArcade goes over the patch notes on the general mechanics side of the changes, and considers what Capcom’s direction is. He discusses how it appears that they want to see people teching throws more, but also eliminated any possible throw tech option selects. He also touches briefly on the character-specific changes, and shows some confusion in Capcom’s intentions with their nerfs and buffs this time around.

King’s Step Hook is a solid move to fish for counter hits. However, with it causing an immediate tailspin, it is a difficult launcher to maximize damage off of. Further, it pushes far enough away that many combo extenders simply won’t work, even with a dash.

J King just released a video on how to actually do so. The combos vary in difficulty, but you can get upwards of 50% — if you are an execution god and can pull off the most difficult of extensions.

Were you wanting to get in to Sailor Moon S, but were waiting to find a Dhalsim-style character to play? You’re sort of in luck, as Sailor Venus fills part of that niche. With her long range and heavy damage, she is a force to be reckoned with, despite being bottom four in the game.

Xsjado Blade shows off some of her capabilities in his most recent tutorial. He also shows combos into her devastating desperation move, which can kill on counter hit at any point.

“Goku Blue” has been a rather popular character in Dragon Ball FighterZ, despite his low placement in many tier lists. He does solid damage on both solo and assists, and has a lot of flexibility in his ranges.

In this combo video, we see a lot of this on display; there’s a ton of dirty combos to lift your opponent off of the ground prior to launches, making combos even longer. There are also a load of varied assists and DHC combos, showing off several possible synergetic possibilities for the character.

Akuma is easily one of the most complete characters in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. He has a high damage output, and both of his V-Triggers are very useful in a variety of match-ups.

The more versatile of his V-Triggers is arguably his second one, the Shiretsu Hasshi, which allows him to cancel specials into EX specials without EX bars. Not only is this useful for maximizing damage off of your normal hit confirms, but as this video shows, it’s useful for maximizing damage off of whiff punishes, and even for creating setups.

For the people that made it out to NorCal Regionals, the keyword was torture. The Capcom Pro Tour premier stop featured one of the deadliest brackets, with many killers pushed out of the picture in pools. It also looked to set the picture for the competitive tier list, with far fewer characters making it than Final Round‘s top 8.

The old adage is that any player on a Super Street Fighter II Turbo cabinet in Japan is a secret killer. That can’t be proven any more true than when we see footage from Japanese competitions, and even names that are unrecognizable showcase above-the-rim talent.

This recent team tournament from GameSpot Versus shows just that: with many unknown names lurking in the teams, they show that they are all equal threats. We also see legendary O.Chun player Jenety go on a tear, taking out player after player.
