With the Virtua Fighter series currently receded into the background, characters from the franchise are at a dearth in publicity. As such, it is always refreshing to see the series get some attention.

In this combo video, Sarah Bryant — in the series since the very first game — shows off what she can do in Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown. This shows a lot of wall carries, and even a few ring-outs over the wall as we see a lot of usage of the core mechanics of the game.

The Capcom Pro Tour kicked off in a big way at Final Round. Every one was bringing their A-game — as developed since the release of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition — and as such, we saw a lot of interesting plays and hype moments throughout the weekend.

From Infiltration’s big reveal of his signing to Panda Global, to NL’s amazing double-perfect against stormKUBO’s oppressive Abigail, there were many moments that could’ve been included in a highlight reel. But Capcom did their best to condense the weekend into five of the very best moments, and did a good job at doing so:

While a lot of Chun-Li mains have been using her second V-Trigger (Kikosho) since Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition released, V-Trigger I (Renkiko) is still a very strong V-Trigger in its own right. Its multi-hit buff to normals allows her a lot of options based on their increased hit-stun, and deals a load of damage on every successful touch.

As shown here, even from max range, getting a Crush Counter from forward roundhouse — newly added to Season 3 — can result in big damage. This shows two combo variations — one considered simple and one more advanced. Both, however, deal lots of damage and might give Chun-Li players more pause for consideration when tasked with choosing their V-Trigger.
