And when facing one of the best Rashids in Japan’s Gachikun, you can see that Umehara is still adjusting, but still playing a high level. This first-to-5 set shows both players going all out with the best of their respective characters.

More anime action from Dogura: one of the best things about Frosty Faustings is the international presence that came from the anime titles, and with BlazBlue being known as one of Cyclops Osaka|Dogura’s best games, he was the hands-down favorite to win the game in Chicago.
As expected, the Evo 2014 runner-up ran through the brackets with relative ease, with his Azrael wreaking havoc all the way through the event. Now, Team Spooky has put up the top 8 in its entirety for anyone that missed it on Saturday.

Alex Valle and Level Up were approached by Capcom late into the Capcom Pro Tour season; they were then asked to host the to road to top 8 of Capcom Cup at the Esports Arena in SoCal. The results, and the criticism, has been well-documented.
However, Valle stepped up to talk to Michael Martin on the latest episode of Conversations and Fireballs to discuss what was going on in the back of the event. He also discusses how he has since responded to the critics of the event.

Undamned’s UD-CPS2 has been a highly sought-after item since its announcement in 2011, and release in 2012. The “consolized” version of Capcom’s CPS2 arcade hardware has allowed players to easily use the original hardware found in arcades to play arcade-perfect versions of games such as Super Street Fighter II Turbo and Vampire Savior on their own TVs with modern USB joysticks.
Over recent years, production of the unit has slowed, with yet more people joining the wait list for the coveted item. Recently, Undamned took to SRK’s forums to announce that he was ceasing personal production of fully assembled UD-CPS2s. He cited an increased demand on his time elsewhere as one of the reasons. He currently has enough equipment to build 25 more, which already claimed three times over. After production of these, his focus will shift to releasing it into kit form.
While this sounds like sad news, the kit form will allow anyone with technical prowess to build their own at a lower cost than the actual assembled version from Undamned. Should you not have the prowess to do so yourself, Undamned is also creating a master list of approved modders who will be capable of doing the assembly for you. These moves will ultimately allow for more UD-CPS2 to be out in the wild than before.

Friday brought a long list of proposed changes to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U competitive play. While some of the more prominent issues in the game were addressed during the TO panel–including coaching, and settings checks–the new stage list has drawn mixed reactions.
With now only three starter stages–Smashville, Final Destination, and Battlefield–and a handful of counterpick stages that omit player favorites Duck Hunt and Lylat Cruise, a lot of the top players are making their voices heard on both sides of the fence.
In interview with Yahoo! Esports, players such as TSM|ZeRo defended the moves, saying, “No ruleset is perfect. It is through trial and error that we perfect one to find what works best. It takes time. Now, based on that, the new changes are aimed towards making the ruleset more simple to outsiders, thus making the competitive format more accessible and easier to understand.”
On the other side of the coin, MVD argues against the changes, saying, “I agree with Duck Hunt being banned, but without Lylat we don’t have a true counterpick. Seeing as we had Town & City as a starter previously, it’s not like we have a real counterpick anymore.”

It’s no secret that Claw (Vega) is one of the strongest characters in Super Street Fighter II Turbo. His wall dive is difficult to block, and he has great normal moves that can lock down shotos in the corner–if done properly.
Japanese player MAO is one of the best at doing what’s most broken with the character. Well-known for his win at the 2012 Tournament of Legends at Evolution, he is still bouncing off the walls today. Here are a few of his most recent matches, showing off how dangerous he is with the character.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo’s Dictator (M. Bison) is know for two things: oppressive offense and having difficulties escaping the same due to his lack of a reliable reversal outside of a super. Good Dictator players know how to escape the latter. The best of the best know how to set up the former.
Now you too can become part of that latter group: Japanese ST player Prime Vega shared a video of himself in the classic mode of HD Remix showing off some amazing Dictator setups. These setups, when executed properly, show exactly how dangerous the character is in the midst of unchecked aggression.
