Hot on the heels of Tanita restarting their twin-stick controller project for PlayStation 4, Sega has now announced some more games that it can be used for! Yes, the company is bringing the first three VIRTUAL-ON games to PlayStation 4.

Sega has announced that VIRTUAL-ON: Cyber Troopers, Cyber Troopers VIRTUAL-ON Oratorio Tangram, and Cyber Troopers VIRTUAL-ON Force are coming to PlayStation 4 sometime in the near future. While these titles have had re-releases before, this is the first time they’re seeing releases in this console generation.

As expected all three titles will be compatible with Tanita’s upcoming twin-stick controller for Toaru Majutsu no Virtual-On.

Details regarding the pricing, region availability, and release dates of these titles will be revealed at a later time.

Hot on the heels of the reveal of BlazBlue: Central Fiction Special Edition‘s release date in Japan, retailers have now put the game up for pre-order. Players in Japan can now head on to retailers such as Yodobashi, Bic Camera, and Amazon Japan to pre-order the game for Switch.

For those wondering what being the “Special Edition” entails, this version of Central Fiction will feature all the previously released DLC for the game in other platforms. This represents about ¥5,000 worth of savings compared to the prior releases with DLC. Additionally, being on the Switch, the game will also allow for versus battles in handheld mode using two JoyCons.

BlazBlue: Central Fiction Special Edition for Switch arrives in Japan on February 7, 2019.

Earlier this year, we reported that Tanita was collaborating with Sega to develop a new twin-stick for the latter’s latest VIRTUAL-ON game Toaru Majutsu no VIRTUAL-ON. While that project ended in failure, the company is now having another go at it.

Famitsu is reporting that Tanita is once again working with Sega on a twin-stick controller for PlayStation 4. The controller is to be called the “XVCD-18-b 18 type control device”, named after the model number of one of the series Virtuaroids, and will cost ¥44,600 ($396). Preliminary design drawings of the controller show a much larger case than the previous attempt, this time looking to accurately replicate the original VIRTUAL-ON arcade control panel.

Helping with this is new partner Sanwa Denshi, who is now involved with the project. As part of this partnership, Tanita is looking to create a new business model for them for manufacturing these kinds of controllers.

As with the previous effort though, whether or not the XVCD-18-b 18 reaches production will be based on whether or not it can get enough support for the players. Tanita is gauging interest via CAMPFIRE where interested players have until November 29 to order. Production will only commence once 1,000 orders have been placed.

As previously reported, returning characters Bass, Tina, and Mila were recently announced for Dead or Alive 6. Now, Team NINJA has revealed when players will actually get to try them out!

Team NINJA has announced that they will be bringing a new public build of Dead or Alive 6 with Bass, Tina, and Mila playable to the upcoming DOA Festival 2018 in November. This will be the first time these three characters will be playable to the public.

DOA Festival is Team NINJA’s annual big tournament for the series in Japan. This year’s event will take place at the Ochanomizu Sora City Conference Center in Tokyo on November 18th, 2018.

Aside from the competition, Team NINJA has used past DOA Festivals to make announcements for the games; as such, it’s possible that they company may have some announcements in store for Dead or Alive 6 at this year’s event, too.

Dead or Alive 6 is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 15, 2019.

At the 2018 Tokyo Game Show, Arc System Works announced BlazBlue: Central Fiction Special Edition for the Switch. Now, they’ve revealed the release date of the game for Japan: February 7, 2019.

The release date was revealed by Arc System Works in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. In addition to this, they’ve also announced that BlazBlue: Central Fiction Special Edition will come with all DLC that has been released for the other versions of Central Fiction.

As for whether or not BlazBlue: Central Fiction Special Edition will be coming to the West, nothing has been announced as of yet.

These days, players have a plethora of options to customize their stick’s 30 mm pushbuttons. However, there aren’t as many options for the secondary 24 mm buttons used for the Start and Select, or for Hit Box style controllers.

Now, Arcade Shock and Jasen’s Customs are working with Sanwa Denshi themselves for help address this issue somewhat by releasing a “Dark Hai” variant of the latter’s OBSF-24 push buttons. The “Dark Hai” colorway, for those who aren’t familiar with it, is a unique 2-tone one featuring black rims and dark gray plungers. Arcade stick enthusiasts may recognize it as the colorway of the OBSF-30 buttons used in the MadCatz Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2, as well as the last 2 buttons of the original “Round 1” and “Round 2” Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition.

For those interested in picking a set of these new “Dark Hai” OBSF-24 push buttons, they are currently available for pre-order over at Jasen’s Customs for $2.25 per piece. Shipping for these will start on October 25.

Fanatical currently has pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition of SoulCalibur VI for sale for $76.49, 15% off its regular price of $89.99. The regular edition on the other hand is on sale for $52.19, 13% off its $59.99 regular price.

In addition to the above, the Razer Game Store also has SoulCalibur VI discounted. Pre-orders for the regular edition is on sale for only $50.99, 15% off its regular price. Deluxe Edition pre-orders on the other hand are on sale for $80.99, 10% off the regular price.

For anyone thinking of picking up some of Bandai Namco’s best fighting games on PC, a couple of them are on sale right now: both Dragon Ball FighterZ and Tekken 7 are discounted over at DL Gamer.

All of Dragon Ball FighterZ‘s various editions are all 50% off on DL Gamer. The standard edition is now only $30, meanwhile the FighterZ Edition, which includes all the DLC characters for season 1, is only $47.49. Of course, the game’s Ultimate Edition, which comes with the 8 DLC characters (as well as the Anime Music Pack and Commentator Voice Pack) is now only $54.99.

In addition to these, Tekken 7 is also on sale at DL Gamer. The game’s regular edition is subject to a 50% discount, bringing its price down to $20.00. It’s Ultimate Edition, however, is discounted by only 5%, bringing its price down to $85.49, down from $89.99.
