SNK Playmore Reveals Andy Bogard in Latest King of Fighters XIV Trailer

In a little over a week, players attending Sony’s PlayStation Experience will be able to get their hands on King of Fighters XIV. This latest installment of SNK Playmore’s lauded franchise marks the first time a mainline sequel has made the move to 3D graphics.

To get people hype for the game’s first playable appearance, the developers dropped a new trailer that, in addition to showing off some updated gameplay, confirms the return of Andy Bogard.

According to the leaked character list, Andy will likely be teaming up with brother Terry Bogard and Joe Higsashi, neither of which have yet to make appearances of their own. We’re sure to find out more when PlayStation Experience opens on December 5.

Capcom UK just announced that a limited day one edition of Street Fighter V for PlayStation 4 will be available from retailers across Europe. The bundle includes all of the game’s content, packaged in a special Ryu-themed steel box which showcases the iconic China stage.

Stocking and pricing details for this release have yet to be revealed, but Capcom has mentioned they will announce them through community channels in the coming weeks.

Pre-Order Street Fighter V on PC for Less Than $50

For those looking forward to Street Fighter V on PC, now might be a great time to do so. Green Man Gaming has put out a special voucher code for November that allows players to purchase select games at a 20% discount.

In the case of Street Fighter V, using the promo code SAVE20-WTHGMG-NVMBER at checkout will bring the title down from its regular price of $59.99 to only $48.

Take note that, since this counts as a pre-order, those who purchase Street Fighter V from Green Man Gaming will also be given access to the game’s third and final beta phase as well as any stress tests that open up before then. Additionally, they will also receive Chun-Li’s alternate battle costume as a pre-order bonus.

Please take note that the voucher is valid until 10 AM GMT (5 AM EST, 1 AM PST) on November 26.

Get a Taste of BlazBlue: Central Fiction with This Launch Day a-cho Footage

The latest installment of Arc System Work’s BlazBlue series, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, is now out in Japan. Released in arcades on November 19, the game features two new characters, updated gameplay mechanics, and a host of balance changes for the returning cast.

Legendary game center Neo Amusement Space a-cho took time to record footage from one of their cabinets the day the game launched, providing over an hour of match footage. If you’re interested in newcomer Hibiki Kohaku, you’ll be happy to know he shows up quite frequently in this archive, so check it out and let us know what you think.

Here’s further proof that love for Street Fighter, and video games in general, transcends the generation gap.

Some time back, Nick Luciano produced a humorous video of his father performing various Super Smash Bros. taunts, and now they’re back with a similar take on Street Fighter II’s victory poses. While some are less than 100% accurate–Nick’s dad can’t exactly levitate off the ground like Dhalsim–they’re good enough to bring a smile to the face of anyone who tried them as a kid. Dead or Alive 5 Last Round Receives Transforming School Girl Strikers Costumes

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is no stranger to special cross promotional costume packs. Its latest, however, brings something new to the table that hasn’t been seen in previous downloadable content.

Based on Square Enix’s School Girl Strikers mobile card collecting RPG, these new costumes reflect the cast’s ability to change into special costumes for battle. While they start out as mundane looking school uniforms, actions like executing a Power Blow, initiating a cliffhanger, or simply taunting will cause these characters to switch into their battle forms.

To help demonstrate how these outfits work, Team NINJA released the following trailer that shows their transformations in action.

This content are now available for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The full package can be purchased for $31.99, and individual costumes will run you $2.99 apiece.

Capcom Shares Their Top Five Moments from the Capcom Pro Tour Asia Finals

Last weekend’s Capcom Pro Tour Asia Finals brought some of the most exciting Ultra Street Fighter IV action we’ve seen in awhile. The event’s round robin format  meant that the players were fighting until the very end to get into finals and compete for that chance to go to Capcom Cup in December.

To give those who weren’t able to catch the event live an idea of what went down, Capcom put together this video that showcases five of the tournament’s best moments. This is a great way to catch up on plays like Misse’s Makoto punishing Kindevu’s healing attempt with Elena, MOV reading his notebook before punishing RB|Bonchan with an Ultra, and some amazing finishes by tournament winner Poongko.
