SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is all about fun, fighting, and looking fabulous. Nintendo released a trailer for the title that focuses on the game’s customization options.
We’ve seen the game’s character customization in action before. However, the new trailer takes time to show off the customizations for Terry Bogard, who was only recently officially revealed (and gender-swapped) at Evo 2018.
SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy will arrive in the West on PlayStation 4, and Switch, with an exclusive physical release for the latter, on September 7.
A while back, we featured a community combo video from a number of creators for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Now, the community has come together and released a second installment of this.
In spite of all the setbacks the game has suffered — including a lack of official support keeping it from major tournaments — the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite community has stuck together, continuing to play the game and break it down. The video below is the result of the efforts of a number of community members (who we’ve listed below) dedicated to showing off what this game still has to offer.

With a new patch and new characters, there’s a lot of new stuff being discovered in Dragon Ball FighterZ. As such, it’s not surprising that many creators are now hard at work figuring out just what new things characters can do. One such creator is none other than Final Showdown. Aside from being one of the most influential combo video makers for the game, he’s also one of the most prolific — and he proves that latter point here with five new combo videos.
First up, we have a couple of videos that explore the maximum damage potential of base form Goku, and Teen Gohan. The latter is a character that Final Showdown has explored before, and this video builds on his older ones. As for the former, he labels the video with a question mark, indicating that there may be more to see from the character.
Next up, we have Vegito, who Final Showdown was working on prior to the patch. The video below explores some things that have changed for the fusion after the latest patch.
Moving on, this Piccolo video demonstrates some impressive looking orb combos for Piccolo.
Finally, we have this video demonstrating some loop combos for base form Vegeta. Interestingly enough, Final Showdown has stated that he hasn’t put as much time into the character , and as such the combos here aren’t optimal ones, just some stuff he’s found that the character can do.
Bandai Namco Entertainment is ramping up promotion for My Hero One’s Justice with a gameplay trailer featuring the entire playable cast of the game. Running at over 11 minutes, players get a good look at each character’s personal style and special moves.
In addition to the video above, Bandai Namco Entertainment has also dropped a new 15-second TV spot for the game, briefly reenacting the epic fight between All Might and All For One.
My Hero One’s Justice launches in Japan (as My Hero Academia: One’s Justice) on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on August 23, 2018. It will arrive in the West a little bit later on October 26, 2018, for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, as well as Xbox One, and PC.
Also, don’t forget about the number 2 hero, (depending on where you are in the series) Endeavor — who is pre-order DLC and has yet to be showcased in-game.
The T’ai Chi Ch’uan Prodigy & The Fist Of Innocence vs. the Kraken?
As previously reported, returning characters Hitomi and Lei Fang — as well as a new stage — were leaked ahead of their Gamescom reveal. Now, Koei Tecmo has released their official Dead or Alive 6 reveal trailer, filled with over-the-top action.
The trailer below shows both veteran characters in their new Dead or Alive 6 aesthetic, duking it out on a lost pirate ship. Forbidden Fortune, is filled with danger zones, including a giant Kraken that’s seemingly triggered by hitting an opponent with a Break Blow near explosive barrels. The Kraken then slams its victim into the deck with a giant tentacle, causing the deck to collapse, sending both players into the ship’s treasure and booby trap-laden hold below.
Dead or Alive 6 is set to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2019.
At Evo 2018, Team NINJA teased that series veterans Hitomi and Lei Fang would be officially revealed for Dead Or Alive 6 at Gamescom next week. However, it seems that the cat has gotten out of the bag a bit earlier as French news outlet Playscope has released screenshots of Hitomi and Lei Fang ahead of their planned reveal next week.
The screenshots not only show Hitomi and Lei Fang, but also feature a new stage set on an abandoned ship wreck. The stage seems to have two levels, one on top of the ship, and one in its hold that’s filled with treasure. More importantly, it features a Danger Zone involving a the tentacle from a giant cephalopod (a kraken, perhaps?) attacking the player.

Of course, with the above have been leaked, we’re still bound to get more from Dead Or Alive 6’s planned reveal at Gamescom 2018. This will most likely include actual footage and gameplay — one would hope.
Gamescom 2018 takes place from August 21 to 25 at the Koelnmesse, in Cologne, Germany. Dead Or Alive 6 is set to launch on PlayStation 4, PC, and XBox One sometime in 2019.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT‘s latest DLC character Rinoa Heartilly from Final Fantasy VIII is now available for purchase on PlayStation 4. Square-Enix released a new trailer dedicated to Rinoa, showcasing the character’s attacks, alternate colors, and weapons.
Rinoa comes equipped with her Blaster Edge for ranged attacks against her opponents. In addition to this, her trusty hound Angelo also helps out by disrupting her opponent’s attacks and keeping them at a distance. Her EX Skill is “Angel Wing” which transforms her into a powerful Sorceress, complete with a new move set that allows her to cast powerful spells at the cost of reduced health over time.
The Rinoa Heartilly Starter Pack includes three colors as well as three weapons — Pinwheel, Valkyrie, and Rising Sun for $5.99.
In addition to this, players can also purchase her “Party Dress Appearance Set” for $2.99, which calls back to the famous party scene from FFVIII, which also comes with three distinct colors. Meanwhile, her fourth Weapon, “Cardinal” is available for $0.99.
One of Japan’s most storied voice actors has just passed away. Unshō Ishizuka (born Yukinori Ishizuka), who voiced a number of well known roles — including some iconic fighting game characters — had been under medical care before finally succumbing to esophagus cancer at age 68.
Fighting game fans will most likely recognize Ishizuka for being the voice of Tekken‘s Heihachi Mishima in recent games (including Tekken 7), replacing Daisuke Gōri (who himself passed away back in 2010), as well as Dead or Alive‘s Brad Wong. He was also the voice of Guile during the early 2000s, voicing the character in Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Capcom Fighting Jam.
Of course, as part of his work as a voice actor in anime, he did the voices for his characters in the fighting games for franchises such as Mister Satan from Dragon Ball, Zabuza Momochi from Naruto (both roles also inherited from the late Daisuke Gōri), as well as the elderly Joeseph Joestar from JoJo’s Bizare Adventure. Additionally, he also voiced Street Fighter’sBlanka in Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie from 1994, and Virtua Fighter‘s Wolf Hawkfield in the series’ anime adaptation from 1995, and of course Tekken‘s Heihachi Mishima in Tekken: Blood Vengeance from 2011.
The loss of this actor that has brought his touch to so many anime and game properties — also including Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop, and Pokémon’s Professor Oak — will be sorely felt. He will be missed.
While Marie-Laure “Kayane” Norindr has played a number of fighting games in her career, the series she’s most associated with is Bandai Namco’s SoulCalibur. As such, with a new game on the horizon, having her talk to the people behind the game is bound to provide some interesting insights. This is exactly what happened at Evo 2018 where Kayane got a chance to interview SoulCalibur VI producer Motohiro Okubo. Here, she gets a chance to talk to Okubo about things that competitive players care about and how they related to the upcoming game.
As part of the interview, Okubo says that he’s watched the Tekken World Tour and has enjoyed doing so. As such, he says that he hopes to be able to create something similar for SoulCalibur VI, even stating that it is his dream to do so. Another thing Kayane asks about is if SoulCalibur VI will have in-game frame data. Sadly, Okubo confirms that this will not be in the game (something that the game shares with Tekken 7 as well).
Now, regarding a demo or beta, Okubo stated that he could not answer anything regarding this. This seems to indicate that they haven’t made a final decision on this, and that either could still be possible.
Finally, regarding guest characters, Kayane asks specifically about 2B from Nier: Automata. Okubo responds by saying that Geralt from the Witcher is the only guest character at launch. However, he does hint that there may be another one that’s coming as part of the season pass.
SoulCalibur VI is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 19.
As some of you may already know, SNK is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. As part of this, a number of their games on PlayStation platforms are on sale on the PlayStation Store in Japan — including a number of classic fighting games.
The games cover digital releases and ports of various SNK games to a number of PlayStation platforms. This includes the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, and even PlayStation Portable. Many of these also include older PlayStation and PlayStation 2 titles re-released as PS and PS2 Classics.
