Team NINJA has released the character movelists for Dead or Alive 6’s Evo 2018 build

Team NINJA brought their upcoming Dead or Alive 6 to Evo 2018 last week. This allowed players who were at the event a chance to try the game out and see how the characters in the build at the show had changed.

As part of this, Team NINJA has also released the official movelists for the characters who were in the Evo build of Dead or Alive 6. These were released ostensibly so that people at Evo would know how to use the characters (especially newcomer Diego). However, now that Evo is over, they still serve to show the rest of us how these characters have changed for Dead or Alive 6, at least at this point in development.

You can check out the movelists by following the links to the official site below.

For those having trouble identifying what’s new (understandable, due to how sizable 3D fighter movelists are), the folks over at Free Step Dodge have compiled a list of new strings for each of these characters, that you can check out here.

Dead or Alive 6 is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One sometime in 2019.

Check out these new screenshots of Seung Mi-na and Astaroth in SoulCalibur VI

At Evo 2018Bandai Namco revealed that Seung Mi-na and Astaroth would be returning in SoulCalibur VI. Now, they’ve followed that announcement up with a bunch of fantastic new screenshots of these characters.

The screenshots below give us a look at how these characters have been updated coming into SoulCalibur VI (which retreads the time around the first couple of SoulCalibur games). The redesigns of both characters are mostly subtle. Seung Mi-na’s outfit is similar to her look from that period, with the addition of a shawl of sorts over her top which should show off the game’s cloth physics when she’s in motion. What may be a bigger change however is her color scheme: she’s now sporting pink and purple instead of the red and gold she used to wear.

Astaroth, on the other hand, wears a bit more armor than he used to. Specifically, he’s now sporting a pair of massive, horned shoulder pauldrons. Interestingly enough, as people may have already noticed, Astaroth now has green skin instead of the dark tan skin he had in this period in time in the previous games.

The Crown City of Insomnia is the newest stage coming to Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

Square Enix has revealed a new stage that will be coming to Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. The Crown City of Insomnia from Final Fantasy XV will be coming to the game on both PlayStation 4 and in arcades.

The stage itself specifically represents the square outside the Citadel, Insomnia’s seat of power, where a number of important battles in Final Fantasy XV take place. The stage itself in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT has a day and night version. The day version should be familiar to anyone who’s played the Platinum Demo – Final Fantasy XV; the night version, on the other hand, gets some extra detail with the 13 Lucii (previous kings of Insomnia) watching over the arena.

Insomnia will be available for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT on PlayStation 4 in late October, 2018. The arcade version of Dissidia Final Fantasy will get it earlier on August 10, 2018.

NIS America possibly teasing new announcement for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy at PAX West

At Evo 2018, SNK and NIS America revealed the final cast member for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy. However, it seems that there may still be more surprises in store for the upcoming fighter.

SNK and NIS America will be at PAX West where they’ll be hosting a panel called “NISA & SNK Retro to Now”. What is interesting is that in the PAX website, the description for the panel seems to be teasing an announcement that may be related to SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy stating “with SNK HEROINES Tag Team Frenzy about to release — we have a new announcement?!”

Now, as you can see, the wording itself is rather ambiguous. While it does mention SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, it could simply relate to the game’s release and their next project after it. Whatever it is, we’ll find out when PAX West rolls around this September.

PAX West will take place from August 31 to September 3, 2018 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA. The panel itself is scheduled for Saturday, September 1 at 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Wyvern Hall.

As expected, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s latest patch also makes small changes to a few characters

As you all know, a new patch has just hit Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition that brings G and Sagat into the game. Alongside this, it seems that the patch has also made a few tweaks to some of the other characters.

Capcom has done hidden balance changes in previous character patches before, so the ones we see here aren’t unexpected. The changes themselves affect Abigail, Blanka, Falke, F.A.N.G, Kolin, M. Bison, Ryu, and Zeku. Some of the changes are obvious buffs or nerfs, while others are hard to quantify as such. Ryu’s changes however, apparently change “nothing relevant”.

You can check the changes out in the tweet from OminousGames below.

Editor’s note: Capcom has also posted their 03.060 patch notes on the CFN site. Among some other things, they list the following character changes:

Battle Related/Bug Fixes

— System
Upon getting hit with certain lock-on type attacks, certain of the players’ movement inputs would end up getting reversed.

Example:
If Cammy hits Rashid with her back throw Delta Through, after the throw has completed, if Rashid tried to do a backwards dash or jump, he would end up performing a forwards dash or jump, opposite to what was originally input.
→We looked into the corresponding actions, and have fixed the bug which caused the reversed inputs to occur.

— M. Bison
If Bison hit the opponent with his CA Ultimate Psycho Crusher, and before the lock-on animation began, the opponent was dizzed from the timed explosion of a Psycho Charge which caused the opponent to become stunned, then the opponent would not take damage from the Ultimate Psycho Crusher.
→Fixed so that the opponent will be cleared of the Psycho Charge status upon being hit by Ultimate Psycho Crusher.

— Kolin
If Hailstorm hits the opponent and puts them into a stunned state, and Frost Touch is successfully performed at the same time, the animation will play but the opponent will not take damage from Frost Touch.
→Fixed so that if the opponent goes into a stunned state and Frost Touch is successfully performed at the same time, the Frost Touch animation will not play.

— Zeku (Old)
Zeku could not cancel (special move or V-Cancel) active frame 4F of his crouching heavy punch on hit or block.
→Fixed so that Zeku can cancel (special move or V-Cancel) active frame 4F of his crouching heavy punch on hit or block.

— F.A.N.G
The timing for the simultaneous button presses for Senpukuga was strict, so a slight delay meant the move would not be performed.
→Fixed so that Senpukuga can be performed even with a slight delay in the button presses.

When performing L Ryobenda while in V-Trigger II, if F.A.N.G took a hit from the opponent immediately during the move’s startup or duration, an unintended hitbox would occur.
→Fixed so that when F.A.N.G takes damage under these conditions, the effect will disappear.

— Falke
Falke’s standing heavy punch would continue to trigger the opponent’s blocking action even after the attack active frames had ended.
→Fixed so that the block trigger frames will disappear at the same time as the attack active frames.

— Blanka
Blanka could perform the normal version of Electric Thunder while V-Trigger I is active by using a jump cancel.
→Fixed so that Blanka can no longer perform the normal version of Electric Thunder while V-Trigger I is active by using a jump cancel.

— Abigail
Due to the hitboxes for Abi Lift being behind him, when performing Abi Lift (Lv2 and higher) while in V-Trigger I against an opponent who is behind him, the opponent’s knockback will be interrupted by Abigail’s collision box, causing an error in the intended received-attack behavior.
→Fixed so that Abigail cannot hit opponents who are behind him with Abi Lift, both in regular state and while V-Trigger I is active.

— Ryu
If Ryu stunned the opponent using Collarbone Breaker or Axe Kick and canceled the move into Isshin, his next attack would be subject to V-Trigger cancel combo scaling.
→Fixed to have regular combo scaling.

— R. Mika
If the V-Trigger II attacks Steel Chair and Fightin’ Dirty were performed on a stunned opponent, they would be subject to V-Trigger cancel combo scaling.
→Fixed to have regular combo scaling.

Razer’s new Panthera Evo arcade stick utilizes their own mechanical switches, offers easy art swapping & a headphone jack

Razer has just revealed their newest arcade stick. Called the Panthera Evo, this new arcade stick represents their first major arcade stick redesign since they entered the market.

The Razer Panthera Evo for PlayStation 4 features an all-new case and comes with some interesting new features. Most notable are new pushbuttons that feature Razer’s own mechanical switches. Now, this isn’t the first time we’ve had arcade pushbuttons that feature mechanical keyboard switches — however, this is the first time we’re getting them in an off-the-shelf arcade stick.

In addition to the mechanical switches, the Panthera Evo also features interchangeable artwork, a feature that Razer’s Atrox had, but was dropped for the Panthera. Finally, the Panthera Evo will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack so players can plug in a compatible headset, another option absent from the Panthera. As for the rest of the stick, the lever is still the standard Sanwa JLF-TP-9YT and it features the same controls as the regular Panthera.

For those interested in picking up the new Razer Panthera Evo for PlayStation 4, the arcade stick is set to hit retail sometime this Fall for $199.99/€199.99.

Hitomi and Lei Fang teased for Dead or Alive 6, may be revealed at Gamescom 2018

After the grand finals of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round at Evo 2018, Team NINJA took the time to tease their fans with more characters for the upcoming Dead or Alive 6.

The date seems to be when they’ll be revealing both characters, it also happens to be the day before Gamescom 2018. Team NINJA’s Tom Lee, who was on stream, confirmed that the team would be bringing Dead or Alive 6 to Gamescom, so it’s likely that Hitomi and Lei Fang may be playable then.
