Blanka’s full Street Fighter V movelist and stats are now on the CFN Portal

We now know when our boy Blanka will be coming back to us, and we also know what his V-Skill and V-Triggers will be. However, what many longtime Blanka players are wondering is how his movelist has transitioned into Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. Well, now we know, since Capcom has uploaded Blanka’s full movelist onto the CFN Portal site.

In Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, it seems that Blanka has retained most of his moves from previous games, and his moves still retain the charge motions as in previous games, and even the multi-tap (or piano) input for his electricity (with no directional input option added, like in the case of Chun-Li’s Hyakuretsukyaku). The main new addition to his moveset is the Wild Hunt command grab. This is done by a half circle back plus punch input, which may also give us some clues on its properties (most command grabs starting with a forward input have longer, more visible start ups).

As for his “Dynamic Rolling” Critical Art, unlike Guile, Blanka does not require a charge input. Instead, he simply has to do two quarter circles forward into punch to execute it.

In addition to his movelist, the CFN Portal also shows his stats. Both his life and stun values are listed as 1,000 — basically middle of the road, with him not being too squishy, or too chunky. This information should help players prepare to play as Blanka once he arrives next Tuesday, February 20.

Dragon Ball FighterZ round up: tag concepts, beam clashes, resets, and combos that do over 9000 damage

Three weeks since launch and we’re still getting a lot of new video content for Dragon Ball FighterZ. This latest round up features a ton of combo videos as well as some guides and breakdowns.

We start with none other than Final Showdown, who has become one of the biggest contributors in terms of video content to the Dragon Ball FighterZ community. His first video focuses on some concepts that players can apply to the game’s tag system.

Next he breaks down the game’s implementation of the series’s trademark beam struggles.

Next up, he shares a couple of new combo videos. The first being for Cell, followed by one for Kid Buu.

Of course, Final Showdown isn’t the only player making content for the game. AnaboliChris shared a video showing an Adult Gohan combo developed by noted French player Alioune.

Meanwhile, AlukardNY has shared a video demonstrating some advanced combos for Frieza.

Wakbott on the other hand explores Majin Buu and the resets that he can pull off.

For those struggling to do combos for our lord Yamcha, here’s a basic combo guide from DextrousLee.

Finally, we have a couple of full on touch of death combos. The first video from TheSchmogi shows a couple that the team of Trunks, Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, and Tien can pull off.

Meanwhile, SuspiciousLock demonstrates a touch of death combo that Android 16 can do on his own, given 5 bars of meter (without having to use Sparking Blast).

For Honor on PC is getting dedicated servers on February 19, consoles to follow soon after

When it launched one of the biggest issues players experienced with For Honor was with its online multiplayer. For a game where multiple players could join in on a match, the game’s default setup of having players host games simply could not suffice. Now, a year since then, the game is finally getting dedicated servers.

Originally announced in their developer roadmap last July, dedicated servers will be coming to the PC version of For Honor on February 19 — with consoles getting them some time afterwards.

These dedicated servers come just in time for the game’s fifth season of content, titled Age of Wolves, which launches on February 14: the game’s first anniversary. Alongside the dedicated servers, Age of Wolves brings with it improvements to five of the games heroes, as well as adjustments to progression and ranked play. This is on top of a three-week seasonal event, as well as new training modes set to launch sometime later in the season.

Infiltration has parted ways with Team GRAPHT

Lee Seon-woo, more commonly known as Infiltration, may be the hottest Street Fighter V player on the planet right now after his recent Evo Japan win. Now, it seems that he’s also become the game’s hottest free agent.

In a recent tweet, Infiltration has confirmed that he has left Team GRAPHT.

Infiltration joined Team GRAPHT late last year after a string of incredible performances, including winning at Manila Cup 2018 and placing top 8 in both the OzHadou Nationals and Celtic Throwdown. These, alongside his signing with Team GRAPHT, was seen by many as the start of his resurgence after his lackluster performances earlier in the year.

While Infiltration has now left the team, he still retains his sponsorship from Monster Energy. Meanwhile, Team GRAPHT still has a pretty impressive lineup of fighting game players including Joe “MOV” Egami, Leah “Gllty” Hayes, Keita “Fuudo” Ai, Tatsuya Haitani, and Atsushi “Yukadon” Fujimura.

We here at Shoryuken wish the best for both Infiltration and Team GRAPHT in all their future endeavours.

MarkMan talks about Evo game selection, trying to please the fans, and building relationships with fighting game publishers

The announcement of the games for Evo always tends to cause a lot of discussion within the fighting game community. While some players are happy that the game of their choice made it in, others are saddened that theirs did not (and a few even use it to disparage other players’ choice of games).

In a series of tweets, Mark “MarkMan” Julio, global head of business development for Evo, has shared a number of insights about the selection process for games at Evo. One of the biggest points that MarkMan addresses is how Evo has grown beyond just being a tournament series, and how it’s now become a place for fighting game companies to interact with their hardcore fans.

That said, he also addresses the fact that they do have to seek permission to get games onto the main roster, and that sometimes they don’t get it.

MarkMan also addresses the fact that they can’t really host more than 8 to 9 games at Evo, and that as a result, some people will feel left out. He himself can relate, citing the times where he was frustrated that a Tekken title wasn’t included in the roster, and as such has extended an apology to players whose favorite games aren’t at Evo.

As part of this, he also states that they do try their best to provide a place for games that aren’t on the main roster — on either on the stage or on stream.

He then states that he does hope to improve relations with other companies so that they can get better representation at Evo.

He also reiterates just how important support from fighting game companies is in terms of “reaching that ideal.”

He ends his statements with a bit of thanks to both the people who attend Evo, and those like him who make it happen…

This is just a selection of what he talks about; check out his complete statements over on Twitter.

The physical release of Skullgirls 2nd Encore for PS Vita is almost ready to ship

The saga of the physical releases of Skullgirls 2nd Encore by Limited Run Games has been a long and arduous one. Plagued by multiple delays, fans saw the light at the end of the tunnel when the PlayStation 4 version started shipping last October. Now, it seems that the PlayStation Vita version will finally see the light of day as well.

On an update on the official Skullgirls site, Lab Zero has stated that the physical release for PlayStation Vita has finally been approved by Sony, and will now move on to manufacturing. Apparently, the reason for the long approval process was due to some back-and-forth negotiations between Lab Zero and Sony for waivers for some minor bugs — bugs that players would never notice, but that Sony wanted fixed anyway. In the cases where waivers weren’t granted, the bugs had to be fixed.

As for the all important question of when the physical version for Vita will finally be released, all that they’re waiting for is for Sony to approve the game’s manual. Once that’s done, manufacturing takes about two to three weeks.

With this in mind, Lab Zero estimates that copies should ship out in about three weeks. However, to be sure, they will post another update once they have confirmation that the physical copies are shipping out.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ voice lines in Injustice 2 have been datamined, and they’re absolutely awesome

As you may already know, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are coming to Injustice 2. However, while the Turtles themselves are not yet in the game, it seems that their voice lines are.

The voice lines for the Turtles have been datamined in the PC version of the game. 1442Guiman has put together a video with all the voices for the gang, and you can check it out below.

Interestingly enough, the original datamine was for the Portuguese language version of the game. As such, a similar video exists for that version:
