As part of a much larger reveal that included BlazBlue: Central Fiction’s target release window, Famitsu teased readers with a small glimpse of the upcoming title’s main visual. Arc System Works has recently followed that up with the original image, allowing fans to view the artwork in all its glory.

Created by BlazBlue designer Yuuki Katou, this visual includes yet another nod towards the idea Nine, one of the BlazBlue universe’s legendary heroes, will be playable in Central Fiction. At this point in time, no announcement has been made either way, so stay tuned for more details.

BlazBlue: Central Fiction is scheduled to land in arcades sometime in late November.

With a concrete release date on the horizon, Cannes Winter Clash has officially announced that they will include Street Fighter V as part of their event’s main competitive lineup next year.

Organized by GameLine as a spiritual successor to both the World Game Cup and the International Video Game Cup, Cannes Winter Clash drew in a ton of talent earlier this year as the first tournament on the Capcom Pro Tour. Due to the proximity of their event to Street Fighter V’s release, that success will likely be matched or even surpassed as players flock to France to compete in the young game.

This second outing will also feature tournaments for Ultra Street Fighter IV, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and King of Fighters XIII.

Cannes Winter Clash is scheduled for February 26-28 in–you guessed it–Cannes, France. Further details can be found through their website.

With all the excitement surrounding Street Fighter V yesterday, news regarding its predecessor got lost in the shuffle. But now that things have calmed down a bit, let’s get to it: Ultra Street Fighter IV’s horror costumes are now available for download.

Just in time for Halloween, this new round of downloadable content outfits the entire cast with special costumes. The video below, which stretches from iconic world warrior Ryu to newcomer Decapre, offers up a pretty good look at each of these spooky alternates in motion.

Ultra Street Fighter IV’s horror costumes are available through PlayStation Network (PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4), Xbox Live, and Steam. Individual packages can be purchased for $3.99, and the full set is priced at $19.99.

Final Round has canceled plans to hold west coast qualifiers for next year’s event due to a lack of interest, according to new details from organizer Larry “Shin Blanka” Dixon. Paradise was scheduled for late November in San Diego, California, and would have given players the opportunity to compete for trips to Final Round 19.

“I had high hopes for this event, but it I guess I was out of pocket to think I could do a big west coast event as a southeast organizer,” Dixon explained in his official statement. “I want to thank EVERYONE that registered for the event and giving the event a chance in your mind.”

Refunds are currently being processed for those who already registered for the tournament.

I’m in the process of refunding everyone that pre registered for this event. I didn’t want any shady vibe coming off about the event, so I started refunding people before I made the announcement. Obviously the people i’ve already refunding started to talk about it.

“There’s been other events throughout the [fighting game community’s] history that has promised things and knew they couldn’t follow through with payments/trips and still had the event while leaving the players hanging at the end of the event,” Dixon continued. “I refuse to a shady event like that so it’s better that I take the ‘L’ on my head than to try to steal from the community I help grow for so long!”

In closing, the east coast organizer reassured the community that Final Round isn’t going anywhere, and apologized specifically to players in San Diego and the surrounding areas who were planning to attend.

During PlayStation’s media briefing at Paris Games Week, Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Katsuhiro Harada announced that Tekken 7 will be making its way from arcades to PlayStation 4.

A release date wasn’t discussed, but this is definitely good news for folks hoping to play the title without access to a local game center. They also made no mention of console exclusivity, so it’s possible players on Xbox One will be able to get in on the action as well.

UPDATE – Later on in the conference, it was also announced that Tekken 7 will be developed for Sony’s virtual reality project, PlayStation VR. How much harder do you think Electric Wind God Fists will be in first-person?
