Sony TV and Hivemind have announced that Final Fantasy XIV is being primed for alive-action television series. Viewers will find a lot of familiar aspects from FFXIV including beastment, Cid, chocobos, and much more. While the story will be unique, it is inspired by the Eorzea seen in FFXIV though it will also have influences from the entire Final Fantasy series.

505 Games and Keen Games have announced that Portal Knights will be receiving its biggest update ever later today. The Elves, Rogues & Rifts DLC includes a new race and class as well as “rifts” that are randomly generated dungeons filled with traps and puzzles. The DLC runs $9.99 and is available starting today. During a recent press event, Final Fantasy XIV Executive Producer Naoki Yoshida spoke candidly about why the game is not yet on Xbox One. He does not equivocate as he explains that Microsoft has two conditions that prevent porting FFXIV to XB1 with full crossplay capabilities: First, without the ability to chat across platforms, playing an MMO is impossible. Second, players are not allowed to form a guild, link shell or free company, again making MMO play impossible.
