The Elves, Rogues & Rifts DLC includes a new race and class as well as “rifts” that are randomly generated dungeons filled with traps and puzzles. The DLC runs $9.99 and is available starting today. In addition, all players will receive the Questing Update for free that includes the Mage’s Guild quest hub, toggle-able public games, a new quest log & more.

World of Warships Captains Set Sail for a New Battle Royale Mode

Battle royal is “the” thing these days and many games are including it as a secondary game mode. The latest to do so is World of Warships thanks to the addition of Rogue Wave: Sink Them All. Four teams set sail for a post-apocalyptic “desolation-themed port” with destroyers tailed specifically for this event. Captains take the fight to one another as an “enclosing Wall of Fire forces close-quarters brawls” in an effort to be the last ship…er…sailing.

Microsoft ‘Rules’ are Holding Up Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox One

During a recent press event, Final Fantasy XIV Executive Producer Naoki Yoshida spoke candidly about why the game is not yet on Xbox One. He does not equivocate as he explains that Microsoft has two conditions that prevent porting FFXIV to XB1 with full crossplay capabilities: First, without the ability to chat across platforms, playing an MMO is impossible. Second, players are not allowed to form a guild, link shell or free company, again making MMO play impossible.
