Sony TV and Hivemind have announced that Final Fantasy XIV is being primed for alive-action television series. Viewers will find a lot of familiar aspects from FFXIV including beastment, Cid, chocobos, and much more. While the story will be unique, it is inspired by the Eorzea seen in FFXIV though it will also have influences from the entire Final Fantasy series.

Portal Knights to Receive Its Biggest Update Yet & It Comes with a New Race & Class
505 Games and Keen Games have announced that Portal Knights will be receiving its biggest update ever later today. The Elves, Rogues & Rifts DLC includes a new race and class as well as “rifts” that are randomly generated dungeons filled with traps and puzzles. The DLC runs $9.99 and is available starting today. In addition, all players will receive the Questing Update for free that includes the Mage’s Guild quest hub, toggle-able public games, a new quest log & more.

World of Warships Captains Set Sail for a New Battle Royale Mode
Battle royal is “the” thing these days and many games are including it as a secondary game mode. The latest to do so is World of Warships thanks to the addition of Rogue Wave: Sink Them All. Four teams set sail for a post-apocalyptic “desolation-themed port” with destroyers tailed specifically for this event. Captains take the fight to one another as an “enclosing Wall of Fire forces close-quarters brawls” in an effort to be the last ship…er…sailing.
Microsoft ‘Rules’ are Holding Up Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox One
During a recent press event, Final Fantasy XIV Executive Producer Naoki Yoshida spoke candidly about why the game is not yet on Xbox One. He does not equivocate as he explains that Microsoft has two conditions that prevent porting FFXIV to XB1 with full crossplay capabilities: First, without the ability to chat across platforms, playing an MMO is impossible. Second, players are not allowed to form a guild, link shell or free company, again making MMO play impossible.
