We live in a world of leaky faucets, confirmed by the latest rumored Stadia information from a French Canadian site about the details of Google’s upcoming cloud-based gaming service. Among other things, the leak reveals a launch window, pricing and a few of the games planned.
Last week we covered the Kheldian Epic Archetypes added to City of Heroes in Issue 3. Today, we’ll be digging deep into Arachnos Soldiers, the Epic Archetypes added to City of Villains in Issue 12.
YouTuber “BreakTheVices” has posted an awesome video showcasing the power of the PAN in Mordhau. Whether throwing it for an epic headshot or beating other players to death with it, the pan is an amazing weapon and proves that the kitchen is the deadliest place in any home…or game.
The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds site has been updated with a new letter from the producer with some big news for players: the Erangel map is getting a massive visual upgrade to give it “the same level of polish as our more recent maps”. The goal is to give Erangel more realistic scenery and terrain. The upgraded map should be available on the Test Server starting today and running through June 11th. It will be available on live servers later this summer.
NCSoft has released a brand new cinematic trailer for the upcoming Archer class headed to Blade & Soul Korea later this month. The trailer offers a bit of backstory for the twelfth job and primes the hype for the future release of the Archer in the west.
Ahead of today’s Bungie live stream event, it appears that an inadvertent “oops” moment at Engadget (& its WoW Insider URL) has revealed that a free-to-play announcement may be incoming for Destiny 2. The now-pulled article is titled “Destiny 2 is now free-to-play, including its year-one expansion”. In addition, the article’s first paragraph indicates that the expansion content would be landing on September 17th.
Google is starting off a big week for gaming news with today’s Stadia Connect event where we will finally learn some new details about the upcoming cloud-based gaming service. The event begins at 9:00 am Pacific / 12:00 pm Eastern and we’ve got it right here at MMORPG.com in a dedicated discussion thread so be sure to come by, have a listen and offer your thoughts in the comments.
If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy and the music that makes each game so iconic, you’ll be pleased to hear that most of the games’ soundtracks have arrived on both Spotify and iTunes. The collected works of Nobuo Uematsu and other artists are all available and include all soundtracks from Final Fantasy I through FFXV. In addition, a number of other Final Fantasy games are also included such as FF Tactics, Dissidia Final Fantasy and others.
On June 26th, MapleStory players will be able to try out the new “Explorer Bowman class, Pathfinder” when it launches into the game. A pre-creation event will take place from June 12th through the launch of the new class. During the pre-event, players can choose their Pathfinder’s gender, hair color, and other features.
Is it possible that CD Projekt Red could be bringing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to Nintendo Switch? Inquiring minds want to know! Doug Cockle, the voice actor behind Geralt of Rivia, maybe? Cockle shared JP’s Switchmania “Wish List #1” of what they’d most like to see come to Nintendo Switch. #1 on the list? The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Cockle responded, “Who else wants to see this… ;)”. Obviously, this is not definitive proof but the coy wink at the end could be acknowledgement. You be the judge!
