Everyone has a fighting chance
Apex Legends has been updated to bring the Legendary Hunt into the game. From now through July 2nd, players will be able to earn a number of in-game rewards by participating in limited-time events. The rewards are event-exclusives and include badges, weapon skins, Legend skins and more. Players will also be able to earn XP bonuses during specific times over the coming weeks.
Aurora Studio has revealed a few details about the upcoming Season 4 “Into the Wild” Adventurer Pass. Season 4 begins today and will also be available during next week’s E3 for attendees to try out. Season 4 will come in three separate chapters that include two new seasonal characters and a number of feature updates.
This week’s Red Dead Online update has been deployed to bring the Public Enemy event into the game. During Public Enemy, one player on each team is declare a persona non grata. The goal is to kill the opposite team’s Public Enemy to score points.
APB Reloaded will be getting a hefty update tomorrow that will bring APB Riot into the game. The new content is a battle royale mode that will become part of the game after beta testing. PC players will be able to take part in the test and earn a number of free rewards and a new weapon skin.
Star Wars: The Old Republic has been updated to v5.10.3 “The Dantooine Incursion”. New content invites players to head to and explore a brand new planet, Dantooine. The planet comes with a brand new in-game event called Pirate Incursion that ramps up the tensions between the Republic and the Empire. The planet is open for exploration at all times, though some daily quests are only available during peaceful times.
The World of Warcraft Classic team has announced that closed beta is coming down for maintenance to add new zones and to increase the level cap to 40. Players will be able to check out Arathi Highlands, Desolace, and Stranglethorn Vale among others. In addition, CBT characters will be able to respec using silver instead of the usual gold cost. This is a specific reduction in cost for beta testing ONLY.
Capcom has released an epic 4-minute trailer that reveals the story behind the upcoming Monster Hunter World expansion, Iceborne. Viewers will get a good look at the new base camp in Hoarfrost Reach as well as an idea about a new mysteria to solve. Of course no Monster Hunter game would be complete without a host of new creatures to battle as well. The Nargacuga, Glavenus and Tigrex are all shown to good effect as well as the antagonist, Velkhana.
If you’ve been wanting to see Cataclysm a bit early, you have your chance as it has landed on the Anthem Public Test Server starting today. Accessing the PTS requires an Origin Access Premier membership or ownership of the game on PC.
A new leak seems to indicate that Destiny 2 Guardians will be headed for the moon. The name of the expansion is “Shadowkeep” and it will send players to “a forgotten moon” to explore a “mysterious enemy citadel to become a slayer of nightmares”. The leak was discovered by dataminers after today’s Season of Opulence update was deployed, though Bungie will not officially be revealing more about Shadowkeep until a special live stream to be held on Thursday afternoon.
Probably to the surprise of no one, it has been announced that Warlords Awakening is shutting down on June 28th. From now through that time, the game is free to play and cash shop items are no longer for sale. There do not appear to be any events planned from now through the end date.
