TERA has come full circle as a successful MMO with a fantastic seven-year run. Now as the game celebrates seven years we get some insight into the success and also the roadmap for the future. We spoke to Patrick ‘Atmorph’ Mathieu about everything TERA this week.
SuperData Research has published its latest report on the top grossing titles for April 2019. For the first time since its debut in February, Apex Legends has dropped out of the top ten on both PC and console. The game brought home $24M in April, “down significantly for the second month in a row”. Earnings are only a quarter of those raked in by Apex Legends in February when it generated $92M.
The Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers benchmark test is out in the wild so that players can ensure their systems are up to par for launch in late June. The benchmark test can be downloaded and installed. When run on a player’s system, it will use in-game maps and playable characters to assess the system. When complete, the PC will be assigned a score and its performance will be rated to provide information about how well Shadowbringers will play.
When Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers launches next month, it will come packed with new and updated actions for all seventeen jobs. This number includes the new Gunbreaker and Dancer jobs as well. The video is a whopping 14-minutes long and gives every job a thorough look.
With the first World of Warcraft Classic stress test in the bag, developers have already announced the second, seemingly unplanned, event for Wednesday, May 29th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Pacific / 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Eastern. Anyone who participated in the May 22nd event is invited back for the one on the 29th.
As the internet tussle between Steam and the Epic Games Store rages on, GoG’s Galaxy 2.0 aims to be something of a bridge over troubled water. Galaxy 2.0 will allow its users to “combine multiple libraries into one and connect with your friends across all gaming platforms,” the official announcement reads.
Those who pre-order a Legendary edition of Astellia will receive guaranteed access to the first closed beta event currently slated for June 25th through July 1st. According to Project Lead Wes Conner, ehe Astellia team understands how important it is to bring a game to a new region with clear signs that it has been “renovated” for its audience. He believes that Astellia is adequately prepared for Western players.
