During Bethesda’s Game Days at PAX East, I finally got time to try the Necromancer in Elder Scrolls Online’s forthcoming Elsweyr chapter. I can say, with some trepidation, that the Necromancer may be the most interesting class Zenimax has ever imagined for their MMO.
The Brazilian games rating board, Classificacao Indicativa, has posted new ratings for Bless Unleashed on XBox One and for PlayStation 4. Bandai Namco has been developing Bless Unleashed for XBox One “first”, though has not specifically mentioned other platforms to which the game might come. With this news out of Brazil, we now known that Bless Unleashed will be out for PS4 at some point after the XB1 version is released. Whether other platforms will be included remains to be seen.
This is no joke, folks. Bethesda has announced that 82-year-old Shirley “Skyrim Granny” Curry will be immortalized in Elder Scrolls 6. Curry is a prolific and experienced Skyrim player and streamer who was the subject of a petition by fans to see her included in the upcoming game. Over 50,000 signatures were collected and that got the attention of Bethesda’s Todd Howard. “She will be immortalized in the game”. The video for the series’ 25th anniversary shows Curry visiting the studio.
Once a year, every news writer’s day is trashed by the annual “just plausible enough to maybe be real but really aren’t” jokes that game developers seem to have a penchant for foisting on the world. According to players, there are a number of hacks present in Shadow Arena, a fact backed up by action taken by devs that led to a large number of accounts being banned.
During this weekend’s PAX East, Obsidian Entertainment showed off a 20-minute demo that spotlighted a short-duration quest. The player is accompanied by two of the game’s companions, Felix and Nyoka. During gameplay, several systems are shown including character customization, combat, weapons, loot, and the branching dialog system.
Netmarble has announced the latest update for its mobile MMO, Lineage 2: Revolution. The Agathion System allows players to “equip” pets that provide substat boosts for hero characters. Players can benefit from increases to critical rate, critical resistance, accuracy, evasion and more, depending on the equipped pet. Pets can increase and strengthen the substat boost through the use of Adena or Red Diamonds.
Nexon has announced the latest update to its mobile MMO, MapleStory M. Players will find that the “legendary elven archer Mercedes” has been added to the roster as well as the Evolution Dungeon that “allows players to customize and play based on their character progression needs”. Lastly, a balance pass has been applied to both the Bow Master and the Dawn Warrior.
