In a bumper issue, Japanese magazine V-Jump has revealed that villains Ginyu and Nappa are the next two characters to join the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster. Nappa’s fighting style centers around raw power, while Ginyu summons his loyal troopers to fight for him.

Better get finding that cheap stuff, as all of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite‘s DLC characters are instantly legal at Battle for the Stones tournaments. Time to hit the lab!

Red Bull joins esports team Tempo Storm in an official partnership

Tempo Storm and Red Bull Esports have come together for mutual benefit.

Esports team Tempo Storm has now formed an official partnership with Red Bull, due to appreciation of Red Bull Esports’ contributions to the competitive esports landscape — and they’re fans of Red Bull’s energy drink products too, it seems. Tempo Storm will benefit from Red Bull’s campus: with a production studio for content creation and events, top-of-the-line equipment for esports preparation, and a state-of-the-art training facility — to ensure that the partnership “is not just about gaming, but about lifestyle.” You can hear what the team has to say about this joining of forces in the video below:

Don’t miss the Red Bull Proving Grounds Fall Season Finals, coming to Twitch on October 21st

Chicago plays host to the climatic conclusion of the Proving Grounds team series!

After three months of clashes across eleven cities, Proving Grounds’ top Street Fighter V competitors are coming together to fight for the top spot at the Red Bull Proving Grounds 2017 Fall Finals! It takes place this Saturday, October 21st in Chicago at Joe’s Live. You can tune in and cheer for your favorite team on Red Bull Esports’ Twitch channel at 12:00 PM ET/9:00 AM PT on the 21st. The livestream broadcast will offer viewers a “quad-view” of the entire tournament: rotating between four matches simultaneously with Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez, Luis “Rynge” Avila, Michael “Yipes” Mendoza, and Francis “Lee Chung” Chong on commentary. All four will commentate the grand finals between the East and West teams.

The winning team will earn a trip to the Capcom Cup North American Finals, at Red Bull Battle Grounds!

This is the first time that the Proving Grounds Finals will be open to the public, and have a live audience in the venue itself. Going to be in Chicago? Check out the event’s Facebook page, or register to attend at smash.gg. There will be a Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Battle for the Stones open qualifier and casual play at the event, as well.

VesperArcade explores the abilities of both young and old Zeku in these analysis videos for Street Fighter V

A closer look at the Ever-Changing Ninja.

Zeku is arriving for Street Fighter V next week, finishing off Season 2’s batch of “all-new” character DLC. Already he’s looking to be one of the potentially deepest characters in the game via his stance-switching, providing two different movesets — and two different approaches to the match, based on the different strengths that old Zeku and young Zeku (a.k.a. Strider Zeku) each offer.

VesperArcade was ready to jump in and provide us some in-depth analysis of the trailer footage we’ve seen of the Bushinryu master; check out the videos below for a closer look at both of Zeku’s forms. That is, unless you plan to only play only one version of him — but nobody would do that, would they…?

UDON announces their first Shadaloo Special one-shot comic for December 2017

A celebration of Street Fighter’s central evil organization!

UDON Entertainment is getting ready to bring the Heavenly Kings back into the comics spotlight with Street Fighter: Shadaloo Special #1, a one-shot compiling four Shadaloo-centered stories previously available only in UDON hardcover books. UDON’s synopsis:

This villainous collection of rare tales includes two stories by writer Ken Siu-Chong and artist Hanzo Steinbach, and two stories both written and drawn by Omar Dogan. Balrog and Vega fight as only kings can! Juri and Crimson Viper hunt Decapre! Cammy teams up with Delta Red against Shadaloo, and the poisonous F.A.N.G causes mayhem!

The comic will be available with two standard covers (cover A by Hanzo Steinbach, and cover B by Ryan Kinnaird) and three additional variant covers: Panzer’s homage cover C is a comic shop incentive, while Delta Red/Delta Blue covers — featuring Cammy, illustrated by painter Warren Louw — are available as Focus Attack online shop exclusives. (Note that the variant covers are higher-priced than the standard covers; the Delta Blue cover is limited to 250 copies produced.)

US PlayStation Store catches up to Japan’s DLC mobile suit selection for Gundam Versus; 12 suits now available

Even more mobile suits join the battle in the West.

As Gundam Versus launched a while later in the West than its initial Japanese release, we’ve been left a bit behind on the DLC front — as new mobile suits were being gradually made available for the game before and after our own launch window. However, following the release of the Alvaaron and Buster Gundam suits in Japan on Oct. 17, five more suits have been added to the US PlayStation Store, catching us up to what was available in Japan and effectively synchronizing the East/West DLC.

In addition to the Virtue and Barbatos Lupus (which were also included in pre-orders, along with the pre-order exclusive Hot Scramble), Gusion Rebake, Pale Rider, Baund Doc, G-Self (Perfect Pack), and Perfect Strike (that were available as DLC upon the US release), the Phantom, Nightingale, Gundam AGE-1, Buster, and Alvaaron are now also available.

You can pick up any of the new (or prior) DLC suits for $4.99 USD each over on the PlayStation Store. Unfortunately, no signs of any discount bundles — or lifting of the Hot Scramble’s pre-order exclusivity — quite yet.

Capcom shows off what Zeku is capable of in this Street Fighter V character introduction video

Some more hints on the nature of the returning master of Bushinryu.

Capcom Community and Esports Manager Matt Edwards is back to introduce us to another new challenger: Zeku, the Ever-Changing Ninja. Edwards kicks off with some history on the long-lost master of Bushinryu, then follows up with some details on Zeku’s stance (and age) switching system, and some tips on why a player would want to pick up the shifty ninja.

Want to learn more about Bushinryu? Check out Zeku’s movelist, and Capcom-Unity’s reveal of his V-System and alternate costumes. Zeku joins the SFV roster on October 24th.
