Black Desert Online – Rabam’s Enlightenment & Team Battle Coming This Week

Black Desert Online players have a pair of nifty things to look forward to after this week’s maintenance. Rabam’s Enlightenment will allow players to combine two different pre-awakening skills to create a more powerful skill. Team Battle “needs at least 10 participants to commence and two teams are automatically formed based on total sum of AP and DP”. Once teams are formed, the fight begins with the winner being crowned for defeating the enemy in the best of three rounds.

Black Desert Online – Kakao Celebrates BDO’s 2nd Birthday with a New 3D Map

If you’ve been feeling a little flat lately, Kakao Games is going to cheer you up when today’s update goes live complete with a new 3D map. When you are in a location where the “topography is difficult to make out with the default view, the 3D minimap will automatically switch to top view”. The ability to rate the minimap is also another helpful feature added.

Black Desert Online – ‘Absolute Skills’ Coming Next Week to Offer Players New Ways to Play

After maintenance on February 28th, Black Desert Online players will have access to new “Absolute Skills” that provide them with new ways to play the game. Absolute Skills balance “original main weapon with regard to damage output” that allows players more freedom and new tactical combat options to take on the most difficult challenges the game has to offer.

Black Desert Online – Arsha PvP Server to be Added on February 21st

Kakao Games has sent word that the Lunar New Year Sale has started in Black Desert Online as of today and that it will run through February 19th. In addition, they have also revealed the Arsha PvP server will be added to the game as part of the regular maintenance on February 21st.

Black Desert Online – After ‘Fixes’ to Server Issues, Problems Persist

Over the course of the last several days, some Black Desert Online players have been experiencing disconnect issues from the North American service. BDO personnel were “working closely with the NA service provider” to resolve the issue that seemed to come to a resolution after about an hour. However, players in the official thread on the server problem seem to believe that this is an ongoing issue that was not solved by the recent change to a new server host.

Black Desert Online – Kakao Looking for Influencers Through a New Partner Program

Kakao Games has sent word that it is looking for “influencers” to take part in its new Partner Program. This invitation includes anyone who is a content creator and a Black Desert Online player. There are a few requirements including 100 concurrent viewers on YouTube or Twitch and / or have a subscriber base of 30,000 on YouTube. Participants will receive “unique promotional perks” including being featured on official channels, etc.

Black Desert Online – Defeating a Sea Monster & Earning a Golden Puppy Arrive Today

After today’s maintenance, Black Desert Online players will be able to take part in a pair of events that definitely take things oceanside. First off, Vell, “a colossal sea boss”, is headed into the game. Players will need to complete a series of quests to obtain Old Bartali Sailboat in order to be part of groups taking him down when he spawns every Sunday starting this weekend.
