The Black Desert Online team has posted a brief note to let players know that the Siege System is yet again delayed. It appears a pair of “problematic” bugs have cropped up that prevents deployment of the anticipated system. There is no estimated time on when these issues will be resolved or when the update will be released.

Pearl Abyss has confirmed the rumor that several Korean sites had reported on yesterday that it is indeed working on a mobile version of Black Desert Online. The team is considering what content can make the jump to mobile and how to best utilize its new in-house, mobile optimized engine.

Lewis Burnell is off this week taking a much deserved vacation, and it’s probably just as well since Black Desert Online’s latest patch is, for all intents and purposes… busted to hell. In this week’s column we’ll take stock of the situation at hand and try to gather just what went wrong and when we can expect fixes to hit the live servers.

The Daum team has a short interview on the official Black Desert Online forums to reveal some background information about why certain changes were implemented in the latest update. Topics include processing, changes in the Ghillie suit, class balance changes coming in the future and skill resets.

Korean Black Desert Online fans have a lot to look forward to with the Ninja (Musa) awakening that is scheduled to hit live servers soon. A new video has been released to show off the awakened powers Ninjas will have access to, including the ability to wield six swords and more awesome melee combat. The Black Desert Online team has posted on the game’s official forum that the Siege War content update will be delayed two days and will be released on June 17th. The issue is a result of the NA/EU version of the game being updated with content that wasn’t originally intended to be in the Siege War update but that will be added prior to Thursday’s release.

As my last Black Desert Online column for a couple of weeks while I take a long overdue vacation, I thought I’d keep this outing much more light hearted. As much as I’d like to continue to bang the drum about exploiting or players abusing the game, I think that discussion has been well and truly flogged.

Daum has published a handy dandy guide to the Node and Conquest War system that will be arriving in Black Desert Online on June 15th. The guide covers the reasons behind node and conquest wars, how everyone can take part, how to build node forts (along with facts about days, conditions and levels), and a tl;dr about the basic rules, building strategies and the fundamentals of battle.

Announced on the Official Forums, Black Desert Online’s community team posted today that bans are coming for cheaters in BDO, and they’re coming fast and furious.

Last week I wrote about exploiting in Black Desert Online and how it’s seemingly rife throughout the game. With the latest expansion pack also delayed due to it, I feel there’s certainly a need for Daum to change the reputation of the game. Not only is it becoming well known for exploiting, but it being a grind is well documented. Both of these things combined with swathes of AFK players in capital cities – in the long run – are likely to do the game lasting harm.
