The latest Black Desert Online patch maintenance is complete and brings a couple of interesting new features into the game among the bug fixes and store updates.

It appears that exploiting is a thing in Black Desert Online. Although I’ve never seen anyone use an exploit, there have been plenty of threads, posts and comments in recent months to suggest it is happening. That’s not entirely surprising as players will always cheat, in any genre, as long as there are gains to be made.

The Black Desert Online team has announced that the Valencia and Siege Mode updates to the game are going to be delayed. They have not given a timeline for release but indicated that a technical issue that cropped up during the adaptation of Siege Mode to the NA/EU build is the cause for the delay.

Valencia is the next major content expansion coming to Black Desert Online soon, and in anticipation we spoke to Daum Games about the laundry list of new content, changes, and of course… sieges!

Black Desert Online’s CM_Tytyes has gone on record on the community forums to tell players that the plan, at least for now, is to release all “Awakenings” at the same time. Part of the concern has been that releasing them one or a few at a time would create imbalance in PvP. In addition, the NA-EU specific nature of the BDO regional client requires adaptation to suit differences between the Korean version and the NA-EU version.

It pains me to admit that Black Desert Online is the first MMO I’ve ever played that I’ve had to Google guides and solutions. There’s rarely been a time playing when I’m not loading a YouTube video that shows me how to do something. In the past I’ve often found it bizarre just how frequently people will use guides for the most trivial of content or things that are frighteningly obvious.

Black Desert Online will be growing yet again with today’s announcement that Part One of the Valencia expansion will be heading into the game on June 1st. In addition, Daum also announced that Node and Castle Siege warfare will be arriving on June 15th.

Pending completion of maintenance today, Musa / Maehwa players should notice improvement in both attack and defense thanks to an increase in basic stats for both classes, both AP / DP for Melee, Ranged and Magic.
