– The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Switch Review
Skyrim is one of those games that I’ll play again and again, and apparently buy again and again. I’ve bought it at least three different times now, and I’m thankful Bethesda saw fit to send us a review copy of Skyrim for the Switch to review on the site. Finally, one of the best open world RPGs of all time is truly portable. And, perhaps unsurprisingly, it’s still just as fun as ever. This is our Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Switch review.
– Will A:IR Reignite AAA MMORPG Development?
A:IR, or Ascend: Infinite Realm, was just fully revealed ahead of G-STAR 2017. Being made by Bluehole Studio (TERA) and brought west by Kakao Games (Black Desert), it looks to have everything an MMORPG fan desires. RVR combat, complex crafting, housing, customizable airships, pets, deep classes, a massive world, player-made quests, and so forth. Could it be that the first big AAA MMORPG to hit the West in years will come out of South Korea?

In recent weeks, I wrote about the initial implementation of loot crate-based progression in SWBF2 and weighed in on EA’s changes to that system in response to the overwhelming negative feedback it got, but now that I can actually look at the launch version of the game for myself, I wanted to share my findings.
– Hand of Fate 2: Deal Me in One More Time
The original Hand of Fate was one of the biggest feel good surprises from 2015. It launched from humble beginnings as a successful Kickstarter that only asked for $50,000 AUD. Hand of Fate definitely punched outside of it’s weight class earning critical praise. It’s unique twist on a deck building card game mixed with video game combat was a refreshing take on the roguelike genre.
