The Elder Scrolls Online site has been updated with a new interview with Senior Concept Artist Lucas Slominski and how he created the cool Morrowind wallpaper you see above (and can download in all sorts of sizes on the ESO site). He goes through taking a piece from sketch to finished wallpaper. It’s an intriguing look behind the scenes at some of the little know aspects of game design.

Elder Scrolls Online – Morrowind PTS Patch Notes Released, Controversy Sparked
The flames of controversy are swirling around the Elder Scrolls Online forums thanks to today’s release of the Morrowind PTS patch notes. Of particular concern to many players are the large changes being made to resource management and the effect it will have on some classes. Developers argue that resource management has become “trivial” and that certain classes have “nearly infinite sustainability while still being fully maximized for damage”.

Bethesda has announced that from April 11-18, players can explore the Elder Scrolls Online without restrictions. During the event, players will receive 500 free Crowns to purchase items from the Crown Shop; gain and retain progress on characters created during the week; and enjoy discounts on the game including the Tamriel Edition and the Gold Edition. This offer is available to players on all platforms including PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One.

During its life on PTS, however, things will be a bit different than usual. Everyone can help test out the base game changes but testing opportunities for Morrowind will be closed and by invite-only.
Elder Scrolls Online – Celebrating Its Third Anniversary with Gifts & Quests
The Elder Scrolls Online is pulling out all the stops in celebration of its third anniversary. From April 4th through April 18th, you can log in, complete the Ache for Cake quest to get a piece of the Jubilee Cake. When placed in the world, it offers an hour long 100% XP bonus and will later be turned into a Memento for your collection. In addition, completing daily and weekly quests will, in addition to normal rewards, give you an anniversary box.

At the end of last week, the Elder Scrolls Online team participated in ESO Live stream to show off the Warden class that will be coming to the game with the release of the Morrowind expansion.
