Matt Firor has posted his first Elder Scrolls Online newsletter of 2017 following yesterday’s big announcement about the Morrowind chapter set to hit the game in June. The letter is extraordinary as it outlines what Firor calls “a new content cadence” with regular content releases.

Zenimax and Bethesda Interactive announced that the Elder Scrolls Online will be adding Morrowind to the game, the largest zone since the launch of the game. Morrowind will be released on June 6th. All of the major points of interest from Elder Scrolls III are included such as Vvardenfell, though the events will take place seven hundred years prior to the events of ESIII. Players will journey to the Seyda Neen to the Ashlands to Vivec City and many other iconic locations.

The Elder Scrolls Online Twitter has an enticing teaser suggesting that a significant announcement will be made about the game on Tuesday, January 31st during a special live stream. The event will take place in the Bethesda Twitch.tv channel at 11:00 am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern.

PC and Mac players of Elder Scrolls Online will be able to create their own in-game paradise when the Homestead update launches on February 6th. Console players will need to wait a bit longer for the warm fires of home. Homestead will launch for PlayStation 4 and XBox One on February 21st.

Alongside all the new homely goodness, ESO is also adding furniture crafting, overhauling a ton of class and weapon skills for balance, and tweaking loads of other aspects to the game.

Zenimax will deploy the Homestead update to the Elder Scrolls Online Public Test Server tomorrow. To give players an idea what to expect from Homestead, including the addition of Master Crafting Writs, Motifs, and much more, the team posted the patch notes on the ESO forums.

Zenimax isn’t resting on New Year’s Day and has announced that the Homestead update will be launching on the Public Test Server on Tuesday, January 3rd. Originally revealed to launch “sometime in January”, the deployment of Homestead so early in the month is a nice gift to kick off 2017. Homestead will be deployed on live servers in February.
