Check out part 2 of RipperX’s look at the Elder Scrolls Online in-game celebration called the New Life Festival.

The New Life Festival is going on in ESO, and Ripper decided to take part in the festivities. Before you can partake in the festivities, you’ll need to track down Breda outside Windhelm for your first quest simply titled “The New Life Festival.” Once you complete her requests, you’ll have the opportunity to complete up to nine different daily quests, each themed for Tamriel’s different races and located in their respective zones.

The second of the Elder Scrolls Online in-game holidays is poised to kick off on Thursday, December 15th. Called the New Life Festival, the event allows players to take on daily quests, each one themed around one of Tamriel’s races, taking place in each one’s zone. On the completion of the daily, players will be rewarded with special gift boxes that will always contain a memento, a Skinchanger style item and a random crafting material and one other random item.

Elder Scrolls Online players will have their own little slice of game heaven when the free Homestead update rolls out in February 2017. Players will be able to obtain, decorate and show off new digs throughout Tamriel in homes that reflect the races of the land. Players can own multiple homes and they will all be account-based, so all characters can visit and participate in the decoration of the home.

Bethesda showed off a new trailer for Elder Scrolls Online during last night’s Game Awards. Showing off some of the gorgeous game world, the trailer spotlights a few pertinent (and IMPORTANT) accolades. See if you can spot our favorites. *HINT — LOOK UP!* 🙂

One of the more controversial things to be added to Elder Scrolls Online lately is the Crown Crate, an item that can be purchased for real world money that will contain a number of in-game items out of a list of possible ones for the current “season”.

The Elder Scrolls Online site has been updated with notification that the sometimes controversial Crown Crates will be deployed into the in-game shop on Thursday, December 1st. Crown Crates are filled with a random selection of items that will be changed on a seasonal basis. The controversy surrounding Crown Crates has centered around the random nature of which items are within the crate.

XBox One players looking to check out Elder Scrolls Online will be able to do so beginning Wednesday, November 23rd and running through Sunday, November 27th. The game world will be completely unrestricted and each player will be gifted 500 Crowns to spend in the Crown Shop. In addition, simply logging in automatically enters players in the Trip of a Lifetime sweepstakes.
