Zenimax and Bethesda are hosting a special extended free play weekend for the Elder Scrolls Online for players on PC/Mac or PlayStation 4. The special event opens up the full game without restrictions or purchase to anyone who downloads the game. Players will be able to take part in Tamriel Unlimited, receive 500 Crowns to spend in the Crown Store, take advantage of special discounts on Crown Packs and all versions of the game.

The Elder Scrolls Online is now available in native 4K for PlayStation 4 players. The upgrade is free and will take full advantage of 4K televisions, though even those without 4K, graphics will be improved automatically while using a PlayStation 4 Pro. The Elder Scrolls Online Reddit has been updated with a first look at housing. Of particular and exciting note is that all players will receive a free apartment via a special quest line and that an upgrade to a larger home can be purchased with in-game gold. Houses are account wide annd new crafting recipes will be added for furniture items that can be sold on the auction house.
