VesperArcade discusses universal system changes within Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

While the change list that was previously posted was ultimately reported to not be for the final build, it has offered us some clues as to what direction Capcom is going with Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. Their universal changes to throws and V-Triggers seem to be the most telling, and could prove to be the most game-changing.

VesperArcade broke down the potential implications of these two changes in the video below. With the changes in damage scaling for V-Trigger confirms into combos, he speculates that while it will do a great deal in preventing certain characters from getting instant comebacks off of one V-Trigger confirm, it will also be at a detriment to characters with single use V-Triggers, such as Ed and Nash. He also speculates that an increase in active frames on throws will improve tick throw games which were made difficult by the tight window in which to do them, as well as meaty throws which had a strict timing due to the throw invulnerability frames on wakeup.

We have known that Goku Black — the genocidal doppleganger of Goku — will be a part of the playable cast in Dragon Ball FighterZ for about a month following scans from V-Jump magazine. While we were recently able to get a little bit more info from Maximilian from his play of the character, we now have an official introduction from Bandai Namco themselves.

The official character trailer shows quite a bit of what Goku Black is capable of, including assists from Future Zamasu. This character looks outright crazy, and is sure to get fans excited for the game — which comes out January 26 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
