Juri’s Legacy Outfit Mod for Street Fighter V is Now Available on PC

Remember that amazing Juri mod we got teased a few weeks back? Well, it looks like it is finally done. You can go download your classic Juri today and get access to this amazing work of art.

The mod has a bunch of great features, as detailed in the creator Brutal Ace’s announcement post. There are 10 new colors for this outfit, some of them borrowing from Super Street Fighter IV’s color options, while others look they loosely follow some of her colors in SFV. There is also a barefoot feature, allowing you to play her without anything on her feet–for whoever is into that–as well as an option to let her hair down. This all comes packaged with 4k textures, using her SFV body model instead of her SSFIV body, and gives her unique pink VFX on her attacks. This all replaces story costume 2 on your game, but you can use this link to switch the mod to replace one of her other outfits. Download the mod for yourself here.

Watch SSFC2016 Tournaments for Angel Eyes, The King of Fighters ’95, & Samurai Shodown 2 from Mikado Arcade

“Super Street Fighter Carnival” is the regularly-occurring tournament series of Japan’s famous Mikado Arcade. The series focuses on arcade titles of old, bringing out high level play for a variety of fighters. SSFC2016, the current season, has been running since 10/11/16. It’s hard to believe, but we’ve only got one week left of tournaments from SSFC2016!

Tōkidenshō Angel Eyes is a 1996 fighting game by Tecmo. This game has a lot of mechanics that were pretty advanced for it’s time: air dashes, air blocking, homing jumps, and more. For me, though, my absolute favorite thing about this game is that at the beginning of every round, the game throws both combatants at each other automatically. That’s one way to stop turtling!

The King of Fighters is a staple of the Mikado scene, so KOF 95′ appearing twice in the tournament series is no surprise. Let the runback begin!

KOF ’95 was not the only game to get a second shot this week, though! Samurai Shodown 2 also returns to SSFC2016. After last month’s close grand finals, this is something I’ve been looking forward to in particular. I can’t believe I’ve lived as long as I have and didn’t know Potemkin learned to flick away incoming projectiles from Sieger!

You can follow the action by subscribing to Mikado’s official YouTube channel. You can even try to catch them when they livestream!

“Kilgore” Character For Killer Instinct Discovered in the Xbox One Menu

Ever since Killer Instinct’s Season 3 wrapped up and all its content was released, more than a few players have been wondering if there would be anything more for the game. Now, a new discovery in the Xbox One version of the game may indicate that there are still things to come.

Over on Twitter, Julian Duran has posted images and video of what may be a brand new Killer Instinct character that may have been discovered by poring through the Xbox One menu. Named “Kilgore”, the new character looks a bit like classic character Fulgore, except with a different face, and what seems to be a gatling gun on his arm.

Take note that this discovery doesn’t necessarily mean that a Season 4 for Killer Instinct is in the works, it could just be a new costume for Fulgore. With the Killer Instinct World Cup coming in March 2017, expect some more Killer Instinct news filtering out in the new year. Stay locked on to Shoryuken for more as this story develops.

The Hosts of Excellent Adventures Collide as Gootecks and Mike Ross Face Off in This First-to-7 Street Fighter V Set

Today we feature a set from two players not currently seen much in terms of the competitive spotlight, as the two are known more for their “Excellent Adventures” these days—Mike “4th Place” Ross and Gootecks face off in this First-to-7 war, marking the first time the two have ever competed against each other inside a Battle Lounge.

Armed with their signature Laura and Urien, will Mike prove once and for all that he’s “The People’s Champ?” Or will Gootecks’ mastery of the “Dominating Light” from his Street Fighter III: Third Strike days guide him to victory with the Vice President of the Illuminati? This may not be the absolute strongest level of play we’ve seen out of these two characters so far in SFV season one, but it’s guaranteed to be entertaining! Find out who reigns supreme in the video below, and be sure to check out Xuses’ YouTube channel for plenty of high-level SFV action, including this recent set between Haitani’s Necalli and Osayu’s Cammy.

Capcom Teams Up with Humble Bundle for Big Sales on Recent Capcom Fighters

Humble Bundles are a truly great thing. Giving massive discounts helps companies turn a profit on mostly older titles while also giving players the opportunity to experience new games and help donate to charity. While the majority of fighting game sales are on other platforms, such as Steam or PlayStation, today we have some recent Capcom fighters showing up for big discounts.

Specifically, we have Street Fighter V on sale for $30, with the Season Pass being $22.49, as well as Street Fighter V Deluxe being purchasable for $53.99. Since the Deluxe purchase is just the base game and the DLC rolled in one, you would be better off just buying the game and the Season Pass together for $52.49, saving yourself $1.50.

Street Fighter X Tekken is also on sale for only $6.00, making this a great time to hop into that piece of Street Fighter history. There are plenty of other Capcom titles available, browse through and maybe pick up something other than Street Fighter while you’re there.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Available for Pre-Purchase on Amazon

Just a week after being showcased at Capcom Cup, the latest installment in the Marvel Vs. franchise has a listing on Amazon: both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are available, slated to ship December 31st 2017. That date is certainly just a placeholder, as there is no official release date announced yet.

The Amazon listing doesn’t add anything that we didn’t already know about the game, and is available for $59.99–Amazon Prime members should also receive a discount, picking the title up for $47.99. If a lower price is announced or any additional pre-order bonuses appear through Amazon, those should be adjusted into your pre-order.

SNK Announces Extra Details on the King of Fighters XIV World Championships

Not one to be left out of the pro circuit trend which is taking over fighting games, SNK has released more details about the King of Fighters XIV World Championships which are set to take place early in 2017. With their new esports initiative, SNK is planning to sponsor more tournaments to become part of the qualifying stages of the KOF World Championship, so more and more players can get a chance to win Antonov’s shiny championship belt and be crowned the actual King of Fighters.

While more tournaments are slowly being added to this early 2017 season, this new information mainly revolves around the final two tournaments that will end the World Championships. This penultimate stage will be the “Four Kings” Tournament held in Tokyo on February 18th, 2017. 16 top players will be invited to compete, either by gaining ranking points from qualifiers or being specially selected by SNK, until only four finalists remain.

These “Four Kings” will then be invited to Beijing to compete in the Championship Finals in mid-March, where they will compete for the title of King of Fighters, as well as some “gorgeous prizes,” according to SNK. SNK will be providing accommodation and flights to anyone who makes it to either the Four Kings Tournament or the Championship Finals so get entering those qualifier event to win that all-expenses paid trip.

More details can be found on SNK’s official site and keep an eye on SNK’s Twitter, as they regularly announce new tournaments which are acting as KOF XIV World Championship qualifiers.
