We’re all used to game developers posting up infographics periodically to provide some statistical information about monster kills or quests completed, for instance. The Final Fantasy XIV team, however, for the game’s fifth anniversary has put up an infographic, yes, but one with a twist. Have you ever wondered how much in-game text there is in FFXIV? Or perhaps how many minutes of cutscene time there is in the game? If so, then wonder no longer!

Beginning today and running for 48-hours, the Hydaelyn International Community Group is celebrating the fifth anniversary of Final Fantasy XIV. The 2-day event will feature “live streamers, digital artists, cosplayers and more”. In addition a trio of in-game activities will take place including a beauty contest, an epic Parkour exhibition and “opportunities to get an in-game portrait by top screenshotters in XIV”.

When v4.4 Prelude to Violet launches in Final Fantasy XIV on September 18th, players will have a ton of new options in the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding where they can choose to bond with another player. Even those who have previously participated in a bonding ceremony will find new things to enjoy with the arrival the Eternal Anniversary feature.

Final Fantasy XIV players will be able to check out the next chapter of the Omega raid series when Prelude in Violet (v4.4) debuts on September 18th. The update will include new trials, dungeons, raids and much more.

The main scenario in the 4.4 update to Final Fantasy XIV is called Prelude in Violet that centers on the mystery deepens around the “man who wears Zenos’s face continues to move unchecked, sowing the seeds of strife”. This is part of the first information to be released on the new 4.4 microsite over the coming weeks. In addition to the main scenario description, readers also learn about The Burn and Saint Mocianne’s Arboretum (Hard) dungeons and more.

Final Fantasy XIV players will be able to take part in the annual event, The Rising. The special in-game activities will run from August 26th through September 17th and allow players to earn the Revolutions, Orchestrion Scroll, Wind-up Cirina (minion), the Manderville Earrings and White Ravens Earrings.

The latest Live Letter from the Producer is complete with the news that Final Fantasy XIV players will be able to start the “Great Hunt” in order to battle Rathalos. This behemoth dragon comes as part of the Monster Hunter World cross over event and parties of up to 8-players (normal) or 4-players (extreme) will be ready to take on the challenge starting August 7th.

The latest update has been deployed to Final Fantasy XIV that comes with a nice variety of new content, updated features and much more. Most significantly, players can look forward to some new side quests, more Adventures with Hildibrand and Heaven-on-High.

On July 3rd, Final Fantasy XIV: Under the Moonlight will be updated with the v4.35 patch that brings the Further Hildibrand Adventures online as well as the new deep dungeon, Heaven-on-High.
