The Final Fantasy XIV site has been updated with the news that the Make It Rain campaign has kicked off. Players will be able to take part in the event through June 24th. During Make It Rain, players will set off to the Gold Saucer after hearing that it may be haunted and it is up to them to “help Godbert Manderville rid his gilded halls of this phantom menace”. As with all events, there are a number of rewards available including furnishings such as the Crystal Tower Striker & Cuff-a-Cur.

The Final Fantasy XIV Lodestone has been updated with a new developer blog to detail some of the quality of life improvements that players can expect when Under the Moonlight launches on May 22nd. Pets will have unique markers on the map as opposed to having the same ones as players. In addition, when logging in, players will see a list of achievements they’re close to finishing and which can be completed in the area they’re currently in. Square Enix has announced the latest Login Campaign that allows players who are not current subscribers to play Final Fantasy XIV for free for up to 96 hours. Once a players logs in for the first time, the clock starts ticking. Accounts will have had to be inactive for at least 30-days in order to be eligible.

The Final Fantasy XIV Lodestone has been updated with the news that The Feast Season 7 will kick off on Tuesday, March 13th. While the post indicates that there will be “action adjustments” being made to rule changes and jobs, there will not be any changes made to the map. That is a process that “will require some more development time, so we’re currently aiming to introduce those in Patch 4.3”. There will be “big changes to the map layout…to employ better strategy”.

Sound Director Masayoshi Soke and his band, The Primals, formed in 2014 and have released tracks from time to time that are themed around FFXIV. The band has performed at Fan Festivals around the world. The new album will be released on May 16th and can be preordered for $32.99.
