The Fortnite team has posted a list of things coming to the Battle Royale Mode in the next four to six weeks. Players can look forward to the inclusion of voice chat, squads/duos polish, loot density improvements, inventory & spectating improvements as well as changes to controller support and the UI. Epic has plans to add more data centers to improve ping time and to add a PTR.

Epic is not taking any guff from players and cheat providers in Fortnite: Battle Royale. In new documents filed recently, Epic is suing two players named “Vraspir” and “Broom” for infringing on the company’s copyright due to changes made to the game’s code, placing them in violation of the Terms of Service. According to the documents, one of the pair has been banned nine times. Both players are associated with a site that provides access to cheats.

Fortnite – Concurrent Player Numbers Cruise Past Half a Million
The concurrent player numbers for Fortnite continue to rise. Over the weekend, the number of concurrent players taking part in Battle Royale cruised past half a million. The game is approaching DOTA 2 numbers that hover around 700,000, but is significantly less than PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds that nearly hit two million concurrent players over the same time period.

Nobody.” So starts the latest Fortnite blog that announces that thousands of accounts have been banned from the Battle Royale mode and “we have no plans to stop”. Epic says that addressing cheaters is the highest priority at Epic.

Epic’s Fornite Twitter account has been updated with the big news that over seven million players took part in the new (and free) Battle Royale mode. To celebrate, the team also announced that “we want to keep the Battle Bus flying, so Duos and Supply Drops are available NOW”.
